Good Faith by Liz Crowe
Genre: Contemporary NA Fiction
Release Date: November 15th, 2013
Contemporary challenges facing close-knit families form the crucible that forges a new generation.
Brandis, Gabriel, Blair and Lillian emerge from the entanglement of their parents’ longstanding emotional connections, but one’s star will burn brighter – and hotter – than the others.
With a personality that consumes everyone and everything in its path, Brandis Gordon struggles to maintain control as he ricochets between wild success and miserable failure. His life proves how even the strongest relationships can be strangled by the ties that bind.
Brandis and Gabe Frietag are as close as any brothers, bound by both loyalty and fierce rivalry. The strength of their ultimate alliance is tested time and again by Brandis’ choices.
Companions from birth, Blair Frietag and Lillian Robinson share loner tendencies, but come to rely on each other through adolescence. As they mature, both are forced to confront their feelings for the men they knew as boys.
Somewhere between the tangle of good memories and bad, independence and addiction, optimism and despair, the intertwined destinies of the new generation finally collide, leaving some stronger, others broken, but none unscathed.
As a chronicle of three families navigating the minefields of teen years into the turbulence of young adulthood, Good Faith holds up a literary mirror to contemporary life with joys and temptations unflinchingly reflected. Its fresh, real-life voice portrays the sheer volatility of human nature, complete with the hopes, dreams, and unexpected setbacks of marriage, parenthood and “coming of age.”
**Strong personalities—volatile marriages—stressful careers—conflicting goals—difficult children**
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Amazon best-selling author, beer blogger and beer marketing expert, mom of three, and soccer fan, Liz Crowe lives Ann Arbor. She has decades of experience in sales and fun- raising, plus an eight-year stint as a three-continent, ex-pat trailing spouse.
Her early forays into the publishing world led to a groundbreaking fiction subgenre, “Romance for Real Life,” which has gained thousands of fans and followers interested less in the “HEA” and more in the “WHA” (“What Happens After?”). More recently she is garnering even more fans across genres with her latest novels, which are more character-driven fiction, while remaining very much “real life.”
With stories set in the not-so-common worlds of breweries, on the soccer pitch, in successful real estate offices and at times in exotic locales like Istanbul, Turkey, her books are unique and told with a fresh voice. The Liz Crowe backlist has something for any reader seeking complex storylines with humor and complete casts of characters that will delight, frustrate and linger in the imagination long after the book is finished.

“My name’s Jag Steele. I’m the lead singer and guitarist to the band Pandemic Sorrow and I have a drug problem – well, I mean it’s not really a problem unless you count the fact that I almost made my heart explode from all the blow I shoved up my nose a few weeks back.”
That was my introduction during my first stint in rehab. I’m a fuckup. If you ask anybody who I am there’s a list they will go down: Famous, rock star, legend, drug addict, womanizing man-whore… but if you asked me, I wouldn’t have the first idea of what to say because I don’t know who Jag Steele is. Really, I’m living every other damn person’s dream, and all I want is reality.
Roxy Slade, that girl was my reality. My brutally flawed and beautifully broken reality. And she fucking hated everything I stood for. To her I was just one of “those guys”, and she’d rather be buried alive with poisonous snakes than give someone like me a piece of toilet paper to wipe their ass with. Brutal – Life. Is. Brutal. And it is just a giant pain in the ass, which is why I chase after anything to make it numb, anything that can fill this void. I just want anything that can make me not feel.
Title: An Indecent Affair Part IV
Author: Stephanie Julian
Release date: September 15, 2014
About An Indecent Affair Part IV:
Kat has uprooted her life and moved to Philadelphia. She’s starting her own business and opening her heart. But caring for two men brings both rewards and pitfalls.
Tristan and Adam are determined to keep Kat close and win her heart. But work dangers and family obligations conspire to tear them apart before their fragile relationship has a chance to grow into something stronger.
Kat’s mouth dropped open at Tristan’s bald statement.
Naked and between them.
Oh, god, yes. That sounded wonderful.
She wanted that. And everything that went with it. All she needed was the courage to take what they offered.
Go ahead. Do it. Say yes.
Tristan watched her, his expression intent and a challenge in his eyes. From the very first, he’d been upfront about exactly what that he wanted. Which was her.
Nothing in her life had prepared her for Tristan. No one had ever pursued her with such straightforward commitment. It made her ache for everything he wanted to give her.
At the same time, it made her wary of giving herself over to him and having the rug pulled out from under her later.
That was a game her mother liked to play. Give with one hand and take away with the other.
Kat had learned to be wary of anyone who offered her anything with no visible strings attached. There were always strings. Something else her mother had taught her.
Her gaze skipped to Adam, who had all sorts of hidden strings. She wasn’t sure she had the necessary tools to deal with him. He held his emotions so closely in check, she sometimes wondered if he felt anything at all. Well, anything besides lust.
If they continued this affair, she’d have to learn to deal with that. And decide if she could live with a man who only wanted her sexually.
If Adam didn’t commit… If he was only in it for the short-term…
Could she live with knowing she would be only a bed partner to him?
Can you live with knowing you didn’t even try?
She’d regret it every single day.
“I want that, too.”
Tristan’s immediate smile lit him up, stealing the air from her lungs. His expression transformed into one of a man who’d gotten exactly what he wanted. Which was her. The thought made excitement sizzle and pop along her nerves.
Then she slid another glance at Adam and panic nipped at her confidence.
“It’s just…” She struggled to pick the right words. “I’m just not sure I know how to do…this.”
Tristan shook his head. “There’s no right or wrong. We’ll figure out what works for us as we go.”
She nodded but that didn’t exactly make her feel better. She liked having a plan. Liked knowing what was expected of her. Where she fit into the scheme of things.
Adam’s voice made her blink before her gaze flipped to him.
“We want this. Both of us.”
Adam stared at her just as intently as Tristan had seconds ago. But his eyes lacked the warmth Tristan’s held. Or did they?
She couldn’t read Adam. As much as she tried, as much as she wanted to, she didn’t know what he was thinking. The only thing she was sure of was Adam’s desire for her. That was clear as day.
Frustration bit at her. Would it always be like this? Would she always be lacking something in Adam’s eyes? And did it matter, if she found what she needed in Tristan’s?
“Do you? How can I know that for sure?”
Adam’s chin lifted. “You can’t. You can only trust me when I say that I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t want to be.”
She absolutely believed that. She also knew that Adam’s bond to Tristan was so strong, Adam might accept her into his bed simply because he knew that’s what Tristan wanted.
Except that didn’t explain yesterday’s encounter.
“Did you tell him?”
The question escaped before she could bite her tongue. She wanted to take back the words immediately. Glancing at Tristan, he didn’t look shocked or surprised as Adam nodded.
That pressing weight on her shoulders suddenly felt twenty times lighter.
“Good. That’s…good. I don’t want there to be secrets.”
With a widening grin, Tristan took a step closer. “I’m glad we’re on the same page. Adam and I know each other. We trust each other. You’re not a prize we’re competing for. You’re the woman we want to make love to.”
Desire heated her blood at the warmth in Tristan’s eyes. Her fingers itched with the urge to reach out and run her fingers along Tristan’s strong jaw. To feel the slight abrasion of his whiskers against her skin. To let her fingers run down his neck to the broad muscles of his chest. Wanted to strip off his shirt and press her naked body against his.
She wanted Adam to plaster himself against her back, grip her hips with his hands and bite her neck so hard he left a mark.
Her gaze flipped to Adam, who’d held his ground.
“But you have to understand,” Adam said. “I’m not Tristan. I’m not easy.”
Amazingly, Adam’s blunt statement made her smile. As her lips curved, Adam’s expression lost some of its darkness.
“I’ve actually been able to pick that up on my own.”
Tristan cut the distance between them by another step and her heart skipped a couple of beats.
“So are you ready to eat?’ Tristan asked.
She blinked. “You want to eat first?”
Tristan’s grin widened and even Adam’s lips curved.
Reaching for her hand, Tristan squeezed her fingers then rubbed his thumb over her knuckles. “We’re not just interested in sex.”
Neither was she. But relationships were fraught with even more pitfalls than “just sex.”
She looked at Adam.
“Do you want to eat?”
She did. Her stomach rumbled at the thought. “Dinner. Yes. Let’s order dinner.”
“Or would you rather we lay you out on the table and show you why you won’t be sorry you said yes?”
Katrina refuses to give in to her mother’s demand to marry a man she can’t stand. After years of trusting no one with her heart or her body, she wants to be swept off her feet, to experience complete surrender, if only for one night.
Tristan has lusted after Katrina for years and tonight he’s making his move. He’ll steal her away from his brother, who doesn’t deserve her. Then he and his best friend, Adam, will give her exactly what she wants…
Katrina is finally taking control of her life. She’s quit her job in Boston and is opening her own law practice in Philadelphia, home to Tristan and Adam. She spent one sensually mind-blowing night in their arms. And then she snuck out before morning.
Tristan is looking forward to breaking down Kat’s walls and starting a relationship. Adam isn’t sure Kat is the woman he and Tristan need in their lives. And he’ll do whatever it takes to make sure they don’t make a huge mistake…
Letting her insecurities get the better of her, Katrina pushed Adam away after another amazing night in bed between him and Tristan. In the light of day, she realizes she needs to apologize. She only hopes Adam will listen.
After walking out on Katrina, Adam believes the only way Tristan can have a shot at a relationship with her is for Adam to step aside. He’s not the kind of man she needs in her life and Tristan has wanted her for too long to give up now.
Or course, passion has a way of derailing the best of intentions…
About Stephanie Julian:
In sixth grade, I found my mother’s stash of romance novels hidden under her bed and realized they were much more interesting than the books in the school library. I devoured Rosemary Rogers, Bertrice Small and, most especially, Kathleen Woodiwiss.
In college, I majored in English and continued to expand my favorites list. Shakespeare, the Canterbury Tales, the Bronte sisters, Mary Shelley. Then I graduated and discovered there wasn’t much I could do with an English degree.
That’s when I found out they would pay me to write for a living at a newspaper. Want to learn how to write tight and clean? Work for a daily local and condense a three-hour meeting with an angry mob of residents upset about a sewer system overhaul into 15 inches in 20 minutes.
After my sons were born, I freelanced, working at home in my drafty attic office, and developed a two-book-a-day Harlequin habit that turned into a writing habit. My first attempts at romance were firmly rooted in the Harlequin tradition and I sold my first two romances to Avalon Books under the name Stephanie Scott.
But writing sweet romances was not what I’d had in mind. I wanted to write books where people actually got to have sex. I contracted my first erotic romance to Ellora’s Cave and never looked back.
I write sexy series that combine heat with heart. Four are linked by Etruscan Magic: Magical Seduction, Lucani Lovers, Forgotten Goddesses and Darkly Enchanted. I also write the silly-funny, super-sexy Lovers on the Fringe series and the straight contemporary DeMarco Investigations series. I’m also writing the serial menage, INDECENT.
BY PRIVATE INVITATION, NO RESERVATIONS and OVER EXPOSED comprise the contemporary erotic romance series, Salon Games.
I’m happily married to a Springsteen fanatic and I’m the mother of two sons who introduced me to the joys of Slipknot, Warped Tour and never-ending headaches.

A Love Frozen In Time…
Reese Johnson yearns for a life other than the world of drudgery she’s settled for as the manager of Gotham City Comics. What’s that they say? Be careful what you wish for? Well that’s a motto Reese should have tattooed across her forehead. Because Loki, the Norse god of mischief, has just the remedy for the boring life of this woman who denounces his existence.
His recipe for disaster?
Take a 30 year-old woman and send her back in time as a pawn for revenge. Couple her with Eirik Sigurdsson, a Viking Warlord, too arrogant and baggage-laden to be of any use for anything, but battle and bed. Mix thoroughly, folding in a heavy dose of pride, a tyrannical king, and a sympathetic goddess. Bake at high until a white-hot love is unleashed and then forever frozen in time.
Reese paced back and forth in front of the fireplace in mounting anxiety. She’d been holed up in Eirik’s private bedchambers long enough. Long enough to rifle through his things in search of the black tourmaline and even to grow concerned for Eirik’s safety.
Flinging herself down on the bear rug in front of the fireplace, she tore at her cornrows in anger. Once she set her hair free, she then tackled the tightly wound curls with a whalebone comb, until her hair floated around her shoulders like a soft cloud.
Reese couldn’t help the smile that came to her lips. Despite the less than stellar circumstances in which she had been dumped, she was secretly delighted he’d fought to keep her. Therefore, with each step that brought him closer, her heart rose another inch, threatening to cut off her breathing with its wild palpitations. She gasped when he reached down and pulled her up against him.
“I-I thought you weren’t coming back. I was going crazy with worry. What took you so long? You aren’t hurt are you?”
“I needed to cool off before I came back to you.” He paused to lean forward and nip at her bottom lip. “If I had not, I would have come back here and rutted in you like a wild animal. Would you have liked that?” he asked, spanking her backside.
Reese bit her lip. The idea of him doing just that excited her. Reaching up, she grabbed both of the white-blond braids hanging on either side of his face and wound them around her fingers. With a gentle tug, she pulled his head down until their lips were level. She stuck out her tongue and traced his bottom lip. When he groaned in pleasure, she pulled back to look at him.
“Does that answer your question?” she purred.
Koko Brown is an USA TODAY Bestselling author and romance junkie who once read over 200 Zebra romance Club novels the summer before her senior year in high school.
Her writing career began at the tender age of nine when she self-published and distributed a newspaper for her fellow classmates. Unfortunately, her grade-school principal Mr. Clark didn’t appreciate the competition and put her out of business after one best-selling issue.
Undaunted, Koko continued to write and read everything she could get her hands on. She honed her writing skills as a staff writer on her college’s newspaper, writing obituaries for the local newspaper, and even teaching American Literature.
One day, while daydreaming in bed, she came up with the idea for her first erotic manuscript. Taking a hiatus from teaching, she had enough time on her hands to flesh out the story in two short weeks. A month later, she cleaned it up and sent it to Ellora’s Cave . By January, she received a revision letter from one of their editors and by March she signed a contract for her vampire erotic novel Charmed.
Koko calls the east coast of Florida home. Even though she’s a multipublished author of interracial erotic romance, she has a life. She loves to travel (three continents, 20+ countries and 38 states so far), shop in thrift stores, ride motorcycles, and volunteering.

Suzy Vitello is a proud founding member of a critique group recently dubbed The Hottest Writing Group in Portland, and her short stories have won fellowships and prizes (including the Atlantic Monthly Student Writing Award, and an Oregon Literary Arts Fellowship).
When Jesse Graham unlocks the door to the deserted house she inherited from her Aunt Helen, she doesn’t realize she’s unlocking secrets that had lain dormant for years. Reeling from a broken engagement to acclaimed musician Robert Cronmiller, Jesse wants to leave the city where her name is linked to his in all the society pages. Her best friend Maggie, aka Sister Angelina, convinces her to take a job at a private girls school in the pastoral Finger Lakes region of upstate New York.
Anticipating a quiet, revitalizing life in her aunt’s deserted house, Jesse is instead thrown into a maze of danger. Questions about her aunt’s death lead Jesse to investigate events surrounding it and the people involved, but she uncovers a web of deceit that reaches far beyond the occurrences of over two decades earlier. Still dejected from her broken engagement, Jesse finds it difficult to trust anyone, even her self-absorbed mother.
Joe Riley is irresistible, but secrets obstruct involvement with him until Jesse can solve the secrets of the Cavanaugh House. Someone doesn’t want those secrets unearthed and will stop at nothing, even murder, to keep them hidden.
Elizabeth Meyette continues to amaze me with her versatile writing skills!
The spine-chilling epilogue grabbed by attention immediately! I love Meyette’s style. Although her usual time period is much further back in history, her talent shines during any timeline!
I thoroughly enjoyed the thrill of the chase, not knowing who the bad guy was, and even suspecting our main character of mental instability. I’m also a sucker for a great ghost story and I was pleasantly rewarded here. The paranormal twist just intensifies the reading experience, making this novel impossible to put down. Jesse has a great deal of moxie, and I found it to be an attribute. Joe’s a doll and he had my vote the entire time. You’d have to be crazy not to root for a man who cuts a woman’s grass with a scythe! There are several supporting characters, including the coolest nun in existence, that make this an extraordinary read.
I recommend this novel to lovers of Mystery/Thriller, Paranormal, Fictional Crime, and Romance genres.
Poet, blogger and believer in dreams-come-true, Elizabeth Meyette’s journey has taken her through a career in education to a career in writing. Elizabeth put her first novel, Love’s Destiny on the shelf while she taught English, Journalism and Library Science/Technology.
Upon retiring from teaching, she dusted off Love’s Destiny, polished it and submitted it to Crimson Romance, who published it in June 2012. Unlike her first novel, the sequel, Love’s Spirit took only seven months from inception to submission, and was published in April 2013.To coin a friend’s phrase, she didn’t retire, she “refired” and loves her second career as a writer. She has also published poetry and freelance articles. Elizabeth’s current projects include a play, a chapbook of poetry and children’s books.
Elizabeth and her husband Richard live in the Great Lakes Bay area of Michigan. They made an agreement that she cannot cook on writing days after he had endured burnt broccoli and overcooked chicken. Fortunately, Richard is an excellent cook.
Over a long year ago, I picked up a pen and wrote the first sentence of a fantasy that I’ve imagined ever since I was a daydreaming little girl—minus the steamy parts of course. That initial sentence was the seed that grew into my flowering romance book, “Beginning with Forever.” With all my heart, I wrote, rewrote, edited, re-edited and now, I’m finally ready to share it with all of you. My one and only aspiration for this book is to have readers embrace my story and characters with their heart. If I can make someone laugh till their gut hurts, hate with vengeance, cry till their eyes dry out, fall in love all over again, drool over the hero or feel any other emotions, than I’ve succeeded my goal.
I’m the sappiest person in the world when it comes to romance. Don’t laugh! I believe in love at first sight, Prince Charming or Mr. Hot Billionaire in my book, and happy endings. In my heart, every women deserves all three, and they will when they lose themselves in my books. Your fantasy can become your reality with just the flip of a page, so come join me.
The sound of the ocean, the crash of the waves as they kick up against the sand and rocks—these are the only sounds Megan Greene wants to hear. She wants to leave the rest of the world behind, and find some peace. The offer of a private house on the beach, set in a small town in Maine, is perfect. Time to think—to be by herself. It’s all she wants. It’s the escape she needs. Until she stumbles across the painting that seems to echo her own chaotic mindset. Until she meets the unfriendly artist behind the stormy painting and discovers his secrets.
All Zachary Adams wants is to be left alone. His canvases, and the unending scope of the ocean and sand, are his life. They direct him—fill his hours. Bring him focus. Until she enters his life. She dredges up memories of the past—the haunting images he has hidden for years; the fears he has never shared. A story he keeps buried below the surface.
Can she make him see what he is missing? Can he trust her enough to believe?
Together they embark on a journey where their pasts collide and threaten to tear them apart. Will their fragile bond hold or wash away with the ebbing tide?
