Big girls don’t cry. They go after what they want.
Thanks to her bangin’ curves, Valerie Carmichael has always turned heads-with the exception of seriously sexy Logan Mathis. Just Valerie’s luck that the object of her lust-filled affection is also best friends with her overprotective brother. But Valerie’s determined to get Logan’s attention…even if it means telling a teeny little lie to get a job at his new bar.
Logan can’t remember a time when Valerie didn’t secretly fuel all his hottest fantasies. Now the curvaceous she-devil is working behind his bar, tempting him every damn night. It’s only when he finds Valerie’s naughty things-to-do list that Logan decides to break every rule in the book-by making each red-hot deed a reality.
No one warned them that they were going to fall this hard. And no one warned them that sometimes the smallest secrets can have the biggest consequences.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Alison Bliss grew up in Small Town, Texas, but currently resides in the Midwest with her husband and two sons. With so much testosterone in her home, it’s no wonder she writes “girl books.” She believes the best way to know if someone is your soul mate is by canoeing with them because if you both make it back alive, it’s obviously meant to be. Alison pens the type of books she loves to read most: fun, steamy love stories with heart, heat, laughter, and usually a cowboy or two. As she calls it, “Romance…with a sense of humor.”

Snippet One:
“You make me sick.” Her words were still softly spoken, even as she insulted.
“You’ll learn to want me more than any man.” It wasn’t ego talking, I knew how skilled I was in bed. Shrugging, I let her words roll of me, because they didn’t matter. The bottom line did. “Are you agree-ing?”
“I’m a virgin.” Did she think that would save her? I didn’t mind setting her straight.
“You won’t be for long, if you say yes.” It was rude, but I wasn’t known for my flowery words.
“God! Yes, okay. Just promise me that Deshawn is no longer indebted to you.” The tears made me an-gry, and I wanted to demand she stop them.
“I’m the only religion you’ll ever need. Leave your precious God out of this. Now, get yourself together woman.” Standing up, I walked over to the bar and poured her two fingers of scotch and brought it back. “Weakness is something you should never
Snippet Two:
“Invite me in.” I wasn’t taking a step inside until she did. Ashley had to want me more than that pa-thetic little man she’d kissed earlier!
Her gaze was still confused as her lips spoke the words that gave me every right I needed, “Come in.” I pushed the window open feeling like some teenager as I propelled my body through the opening. “This is a dream.” She shook her head, looking at me, tears filling those gorgeous eyes.
“This is not a dream, Ashley.” Walking over to her bed, I ripped her nightgown down the middle, exposing that beautiful body I’d craved to possess. She pulled the tattered pieces together in front and sat up quickly. Her hands trembled as she attempted to cover herself.
and a whole lot more complicated!
Veterinarian, Rae Evans expects to attend a dreadful ten-year high school
reunion. Instead, she’s confronted by a past she’s never gotten over. The love
of her life, Travis Walker, has returned to Catfish Creek, and the now-famous
rock star wants only three things: Her. Naked. And screaming his name.

Blurb:
After the long, fiery war had raged and King Osiris of Avalon took the seven realms, the once rich green lands now sat as nothing more than ash and cinder. Osiris and his commander, Holland, have reached a precipice where they must decide to chase their thirst for revenge, or stay sitting in the fires of the Cinder Territories. Princess Leonetta, once the future Queen of Avalon, has fled, leaving Osiris and her love behind in search of the great Kingdom of the Vale.
The fae, Leonetta’s heritage, are a peaceful and serene species and sit under the rule of the great King Anthurium, his wife Queen Seville, and their beautiful daughter, Asphodul. As the seas begin to drift the remnants of a bloody war to the Vale’s shores and the storms push across the magical realms in the east, the war begins to churn.
Will Osiris’ anger drive the fae from their beautiful lands and leave Leonetta in the hands of the gods, or will magic prevail?”
Snippet #1
“The crashing sound of a whip against the skin echoed through the garden of Avalon. King Osiris, in his constant anger over the treasonous betrayal of his daughter, plucked his people from the streets one at a time and questioned them about her whereabouts. He was sure she had been the one who took the people from the outlying realms before the attacks and therefore assumed those left behind knew something. However, whether due to their loyalty to the princess or their lack of real intel, one by one they fell to the punishment of the Whip.
Holland stood out on the balcony of the throne room, tired of watching the bloody mist fly from the backs of innocent people. He didn’t seem to care anymore for the favor of the king, but he knew if he turned his back now he was as good as dead. With Leonetta flying off, taking most of the kingdom with her, a dark cloud had fallen over the Cinder Territories, even darker than the wars. The king had just returned from the ports where he discovered that the ships were left tied to the docks, holes punched into the bottoms of them. By the time the army had gotten there, all that was left was half sunken ships and burning tinder.”
Snippet $2
“Leonetta ran her hands over the cold stone arms of the throne. Her thoughts lingered on her father’s memorial just hours before. It was the first fae funeral she had ever attended, and it was much different than those in Avalon. The fae body, when ready, didn’t get lowered into a darkened pit and covered with dirt. Instead, a chanting commenced and the body dissolved, the king’s magic flowing outward and into the sky. The area where the physical body was left in dust lit up in vibrant colors on its own. The fae in attendance then began singing melodies in the old fae language. The chorus of voices floated down the walls and into the streets of Athanasia where the people of Vale stood with lit candles. As the melody pierced their ears, they began to sing as well until the choir of the Vale could surely be heard across the realms.”
Snippet #3
“Even in the bright morning sun, the wisps of magical spells could be seen across the gorge in a field laid for training. Queen Seville emerged from her chambers and stepped out on the balcony, stretching her eyes high into the air. Her days of mourning were over, and she would spend the morning being briefed on the events that occurred while she was away. Then, as the sun begins its decent toward the horizon, the Mourning Gala would commence. Though her heart was not complete, Seville was looking forward to laughter and music, something her king had always loved.
Seville turned and entered back into her room and stood, watching the workers open drapes, extinguish insense, and allow life back into her world. The door to the castle was open, and Seville looked up at the Faith standing in the chamber opening. He bowed deeply and reached his hand out to her. A warm feeling filled her, knowing she was no longer alone in her solace and could see the bright faces of her daughters.”

He will use every asset in his control to manage Mica, while holding himself aloof from taking the one thing he really wants…her.
Daniel Rupert is a successful businessman. He owns a trucking company and a hockey team, for which he is the star forward. Raised in the south, MariaLisa learned about the magic of books at an early age. Every summer, she would spend hours in the local library, devouring books of every genre. Self-described as a book-a-holic, she says “I’ve always loved to read, but then I discovered writing, and found I adored that, too. For reading…if nothing else is available, I’ve been known to read the back of the cereal box.”
Oatmeal is her comfort food. She hates gardening but loves flowers; not cut arrangements, but in the wild, outside. She has a deep and abiding respect for our military. Her dad was career Air Force and parades make her cry. Walking Dead is about the only TV she watches anymore, don’t bother her on Walking Dead night, when she’s been known to shout, “Go Team Darryl!” Yes, she’s still sad about Firefly.
She’s a hockey fan, like … a serious hockey fan. She’s loyal to the Edmonton Oilers, but asks that we don’t judge her about that. She also likes the Nashville Predators and Ottawa Senators. The local ECHL team, the Fort Wayne Komets, are a fav of hers, and she has season tickets. She’ll also generally try to hit the road games within a hundred-mile radius.
She’s a wanna-be hiker, working on a “bucket list” of hikes like Knobstone (completed in four days mid-April 2014 – whoooo!), sectioning parts of the AT, and now and then looking west towards PCT.
She embraces her inner geek; MariaLisa has been working in the tech field for a couple decades. A sometime PC gamer, she still plays EverQuest after all these years. She says, “What can I say, I’m loyal (see above, I’m an Oilers fan LOL). Yes, I’ve heard of WoW, and have a coupla toons there, too.”
On music, she says, “I love music of nearly any genre — jazz, country, rock, alt rock, metal, classical, bluegrass, rap, hip hop…you name it, I listen to it. I can often be seen dancing through the house in the early mornings. But I really, REALLY love live music. My favorite thing with music is seeing bands in small, dive bars [read: small, intimate venues]. If said bar [venue] has a good selection of premium tequila, then that’s a plus!”
Her short bio reads, “Plate-spinner / cat herder at work; totally geeked author; single mom in the thick of autism at home; hockey freak; wanna-be hiker; usta-be/on-again EQ gamer.”
