BLOG TOUR STOP! EXQUISITE BETRAYAL BY A.M. HARGROVE

ExquisiteBetrayal(1)Blurb

A male Romance Author… a convention in Vegas… a female book blogger… a goal to lose her virginity… what happens when you mix all the above?

Fallon McKinley is headed to Vegas for the Wicked Wenches Romance Con and losing her virginity is only one of her goals. The other is to meet her favorite author of romance novels, R.T. Sinclair. What she doesn’t realize is that the sexy green-eyed god she rams into at the airport is the real R.T. When they keep running into each other, she’s shocked, but excited, because the attraction is irresistible.

Ryland Thomas Sinclair doesn’t want anyone to know his true identity. He’s the author that all women love, but everyone thinks he’s a female. He hides his persona behind the public face of his twin sister, keeping his own a secret. But after meeting the lovely Fallon, his intentions to avoid a relationship come to a screeching halt. She’s put an unwanted kink into his perfectly laid out plans. His unusual reaction surprises him because after a heart-shredding breakup a few years ago, he’s managed to avoid women at all costs.

Resisting Fallon becomes more difficult than he imagines. Soon things are spiraling out of control, until a major miscommunication has Fallon walking out of his home and his life. Will Ryland Thomas succeed in losing the woman he loves? Or can he win her back?

Review3

Ryland Thomas Sinclair works as a romance author but because he is guy he uses a different name, R. T. Sinclair and his twin sister as a stand in. He is a hot and sexy man who avoids all relationships until he meets Fallon.  Ryland can be pig headed a lot of the time in the book and for the most part he does it out of the goodness of his heart but when something comes out that should not he blames Fallon without even hearing her side.

Fallon McKinley is a strong woman who has kept going as things don’t go her way.  Fallon is upset that her wealthy mother won’t help her ever, not with school or anything else.  Fallon takes a trip she really can’t afford to meet her favorite author, R. T. Sinclair.  Fallon falls for Ryland as they keep meeting each other all over Vegas.

The chemistry between Fallon and Ryland is blistering hot.  I liked that they did not fall in love at first sight and that they tried to fight the attraction.  The sex scenes were hot and spicy.  I loved that they left a bit to the imagination and was not very descriptive.  The biggest issue was Fallon and Ryland is communication, when big issues rise they don’t talk just assume.

My biggest grip is with Fallon.  I get the part that we would like out parents to pay for our collage but in defense of her mother on this point (mostly because that came across as the biggest issue Fallon had with her mother) our parents are not required to pay for our collage and if they do that should be appreciated not expected.  Just because her mother has money does not mean she is required to spend it on what Fallon wants because it’s not Fallon’s money.  Now I am not saying that Fallon’s mother is a saint because she if far from it and I agree with Fallon’s decision at the end with her mother and how to handle her.

I found this story to be well written.  The main and secondary characters were interesting and realistic.  While this is not part of a series I would love to see a sequel with Ryland’s sister Tilly as the main character.  Overall this was a great book.  One I can see myself re-reading in the future.

One day, on her way home from work as a sales manager, A. M. Hargrove, realized her life was on fast forward and if she didn’t do something soon, it would quickly be too late to write that work of fiction she had been dreaming of her whole life.  So, she rolled down the passenger window of her fabulous (not) company car and tossed out her leather briefcase.  Luckily, the pedestrian in the direct line of fire was a dodge ball pro and had über quick reflexes enabling him to avoid getting bashed in the head.  Feeling a tad guilty about the near miss, A. M. made a speedy turn down a deserted side street before tossing her crummy, outdated piece-of-you-know-what laptop out the window.  She breathed a liberating sigh of relief, picked up her cell phone, called her boss and quit her job.  Grinning, she made another call to her hubs and told him of her new adventure (after making sure his heart was beating properly again).

So began A. M. Hargrove’s career as a YA/NA and Adult Romance writer. Her books include the following: Edge of Disaster, Shattered Edge and Kissing Fire (The Edge Series); The Guardians of Vesturon series (Survival, Resurrection, Determinant, reEmergent and Beginnings); Dark Waltz and Tragically Flawed.

Other than being in love with writing about being in love, she loves chocolate, ice cream and coffee and is positive they should be added as part of the USDA food groups.

REVIEW BY VICTORIA! KIRBY BY SAMANTHA ANNE

Blurb

Rachel Sirianni is a twenty-seven year old native New Yorker with dreams of becoming an editor for Equinox Publishing, one of the top imprints in the city. And it seems she’s finally gotten her foot in the door, until one wild morning turns her fast track into an uphill climb.

Unable to pay her bills, she takes an unlikely second job to make ends meet and finds herself struggling to maintain two lives—her own, and that of her alter ego. Kirby is a sassy, imaginative, and extroverted fireball whom Rachel had no idea was lying dormant inside of her.

Enter Joe, a larger-than-life, brutally hot writer with a heart of gold. Rachel can’t seem to control herself around him, despite the fact that she’s sworn off men until she can get her career back on track. Their backgrounds and interests very nearly run parallel, and the Universe seems to keep pulling the pair together—in every aspect of Rachel’s life.

What happens when two worlds collide, particularly where it concerns Joe? The ride of her life may just lead to love—or it could lead back to the drawing board.

Review3

Rachel Sirianni is a native to New York with dreams of becoming an editor for Publishing Company Equinox.  While Rachel does not get the job she wanted, she does get a job with the company with the ability to move up.  Therefore, she gets a second job to help pay the bills.  Rachel was a realistic character.  Her actions and behaviors were truly, what I would expect most to do in her situation.  I can easily understand why she did not tell her boss everything about Joe from the start.  It’s hard to tell good bosses from bad bosses in the beginning.

Joe aka AJ Pavon is a hot and sexy writer with a heart of gold.  He wants a relationship not just a few dates with a women.  I loved that he knew what he wanted in his life and career but at the same time, I did find it odd.  Most guys while they do want a relationship are not as upfront as Joe was about it.

The chemistry between Joe and Rachel is blistering.  I loved that fate seemed to step in and keep pushing these two together otherwise I think neither would have given each other a second chance.  I also liked unlike many romances sex was not the core reason they stayed together and that they waited for the right time and did not hope into bed together.

I found this book to be well written.  The main and secondary characters were realistic. Overall, this was a magnificent book.  I hope that Rachael’s best friend Camille ends up with her own book.  I would love to know how many men call a sex line for relationship advice?

REVIEW BY VICTORIA! SPECIAL ANGEL BY NANCY LOYAN

Blurb

Angelique is no ordinary diva. She’s the world’s greatest singer – and mystery. That’s why Brian Andrews, an American investigative reporter at Our World magazine, is assigned to do what others have failed: uncover Angelique’s past and secrets.

But Angelique herself has never known her past and fears that she will never see her future, thanks to a controlling couple who hold her career and life in their tight fists. Raised by nuns in an abbey in France, she has never known freedom. Brian offers her hope by aiding in her escape from her sequestered life, putting his career on the line.

Is he after the glory of the big story, or is he the one person Angelique can finally trust to help her?

Review3

Angelique was raised by nuns at an abbey in France.  She has a beautiful angelic voice that captures all that hear it.  Angelique is young and naive when is thrust in to the clutches of the Davidson’s.  In the end it’s a double edge sword because without them she might not have had the fame and money she ends up having.

Brian Andrews is an investigative reporter from the United States, he works for Out World Magazine.  He has been given a task that everyone before him failed at, finding out Angelique’s past.  He is a hot and sexy man who after meeting Angelique wants to protect her.

The chemistry between Angelique and Brian is blistering.  While Angelique has been sheltered its easy to see she is no fool and she did not fall for Brian because he was there and saved her.  The sex scenes were scorching hot.

I found the story very well written.  The main and secondary characters were realistic and intriguing.  I really liked this story, even more that I thought I would after I read the summery.  I read this book in one sitting.  I hope there is a sequel and we get to see Angelique and Brian again.  Overall, this was a magnificent story.  I will be reading more by Nancy Loyan Schuemann in the future.

REVIEWS BY CEECEE AND VICTORIA! BROKEN BY KIMBERLEY REEVES

‘When I’m broken and nothing seems to make any sense, I go back to the ranch to my beautiful Jessie… Jess fixes me, makes me whole again’. Those were the words written in Adam’s journal shortly before he died. Now it is up to his twin brother, Mitch, to tell her that Adam is gone, that he will never return to her waiting arms. He doesn’t want to be the one to break her heart, but what choice does he have?

Review2

I was prepared to be on the fence about this novel, but I really enjoyed it!  For some reason, the song “Leather and Lace” by Stevie Nicks kept playing in my mind throughout the whole book!

They say the road to hell is paved with good intentions.  That’s what I kept thinking as Mitch tried to give Jessie good memories of his twin brother, Adam.  Yes, it’s a little off the beaten path.  No, it’s not that hard to imagine Jessie falling for his plan.  Love is blind, and we’ve all worn those rose colored glasses, or at least known someone who has.  While Mitch didn’t think his plan through, he wasn’t acting maliciously.  He’s a passionate man with a few quirks, but he’s exactly what Jessie needs.

Jessie’s strength is somewhat underestimated by Mitch, and this was a little frustrating.  She’s runs a ranch and has had the resilience to withstand a relationship with a Special Ops soldier.  I’ve seen the worry and longing in the eyes of those who wait for the return of our heroes, and it takes a great amount of fortitude to withstand such a weight on the heart and mind.  I also know the dedication, determination, and back-breaking work it takes to keep up a farmstead.  She’s definitely a trooper, and I liked her immensely. After so many years of putting Adam’s well-being first, she finally gets what she’s dreamed of: Him. Her only weakness is exposed as she battles internally with confronting her lover with his unusual behavior.

This isn’t your typical story of true love, but that’s what makes it so good!  Here, you have a unique take on a love that was, and one that could be.  The author has developed an interesting tale with greatcharacters, excellent supporting characters, and quite a few deliciously steamy scenes!

Review3

Mitch retired from working in Special Ops with his brother Adam after Adam was killed in there last mission together.  Adam and Mitch are identical twins.  Mitch goes over Adams journal and then makes the journey to tell his girlfriend Jessie that Adam as passed away.  Mitch is a hot and sexy man who falls for Jessie at first sight.

Jessie is used to Adam coming and going all the time with no expectations of staying.  When Mitch comes to talk to her, she mistakes him for Adam and Mitch does not correct her.  Jessie is a smart woman who slowly pieces it all together.  What I loved about her is she thought before she acted rather than throw a fit.

The chemistry between Mitch and Jessie is blistering hot.  It’s apparent from the beginning that they care about each other.  The sex scenes were hot and steamy.  I loved that Jessie could see the differences between Adam and Mitch even before she found out about Mitch.

I found this story to be well written.  I had a hard time putting this story down.  I loved that this story was not what I expected it to be after reading the blurb.  The main and secondary characters were interesting and realistic.  Overall, this was a great book.  I can see re-reading this in the future.
