REVIEW BY BRANDY! FULL STRENGTH BY KATIE KENYHERCZ
After a bum knee ended her soccer days, Alexandra – Allie – Kallen has dedicated her life to helping injured athletes cope and get back in the game. As the new team sports psychologist of the Las Vegas Sinners, she starts out with just one player, but he’s a handful. Goalies are stubborn, and she would know. She’s determined to figure him out and return him to the net good as new, especially after she sent her last patient back to the ice too soon. The problem is, she sees so much of herself in Shane, and their chemistry is off the charts. Falling for him isn’t in the plan. Is love worth losing her career?
Shane Reese’s entire identity has been wrapped up in being a goalie since he was five years old. When he gets a high ankle sprain right before playoffs, he doesn’t exactly take it well. After putting his fist through the physical therapy room wall and hitting a few joking teammates, he’s ordered to see the new shrink. All he has to do is convince her he’s seen the light, and he can get back to defending his team as soon as his ankle heals. The problem is, she sees through him like no one he’s ever met, and the more time he spends with her, the less hot he is to get back to the ice. Could something mean more than hockey?
Sensuality Level: Sensual
I LOVE THE SINNERS! I was contacted by the author to read this book because I read the first one and LOVED it. I am not a huge hockey fan but this team is under my skin.
Reese is a goalie. Plain and simple, that is the life he has known. When an injury puts him on the bench and talks of trading start abounding, he struggles with his anger and resentment. When he is told that he has to see the new team shrink, he knows he will say and do anything to get the doctor to release him.
Allie knows how an injury can change an athlete’s life and she will do all she can to help Reese. She just didn’t expect the punch to the gut that she gets at the sight of the sexy goalie. Being a team shrink is not easy and I liked how she stepped outside of the box and took on patients who weren’t necessarily on the team. It shows she has a heart and empathy.
This is an awesome series and if you haven’t read On the Fly (Crimson Romance)
the first book in the series, click the link and meet The Sinners!
REVIEWS BY VICTORIA AND CEECEE! ANGEL’S HERO AND ANGEL’S TRUTH BY LIZ BORINO

CIA Agent Aaron “Angel” Collins doesn’t take many things on faith. He trusts his gut, his eyes, and his husband, Jordan, an Army Captain. When his commanding officers deliver news of Jordan’s death, Aaron needs proof. The facts don’t add up, and Aaron must decide if he can trust Major General Troy Hart to assist in his quest to discover the truth.
Captain Jordan Collins is battered and disheartened in an Afghanistan prison, but definitely not dead, though he learns his own government believes he is. His only mission now is to stay alive and make it home to Angel, if he can find an ally among the enemy. But someone in the US government will stop at nothing to make sure he never leaves that prison, And Jordan must reevaluate the lines between friend and foe if he is ever to return to his Angel.
Aaron Collins is a CIA agent who has worked in the government long enough that he does not take much on faith. Aaron has a nickname that only the love of his life calls him, Angel. Therefore, when the Army comes to him reporting the death of his husband Jordan, Aaron wants proof, like a body. Therefore, the CIA agent does what he does best and looks in it to find an answer.
Jordan Collins is captain in the Army. He has one last mission then he is out of the Army and looking to spend more time with his husband, Angel. What happens is he get taken prisoner and with his county not looking for him because they all think he is dead makes Jordan realize that he has to save himself if he wants to go home to Angel.
Angel’s Truth is the first book in the Angel series by Liz Borino. I found this book well written. The main and secondary characters were interesting and engaging. My only issue with this book is it was not long enough and not as flushed out as I would have liked. However, I enjoyed reading this story and I wanted to know what happens next. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
A wonderful love story involving a true test of faith that will melt your heart!
I loved the determination and strength Aaron exhibited, as everyone around him lost hope. What seems to be an act of lunacy to others is simply an act of true love. Of course, Jordan’s struggles amplified my compassion for such an amazingly loyal and courageous couple. Jordan’s need to get back to his husband alive was inspiring. The willpower to survive his horrible circumstances was matched by the bravery of a young woman risking her life to save him. Unfortunately, with powerful enemies running the show from both sides, the outcome for all involved may not be a happy one.
Please note: This is the sequel to Angel’s Hero and these books must be read in order.
“Freeze or I’ll shoot!” Aaron yelled and aimed the gun at Jordan’s chest.
“Angel, no, please.” Hacking fluid-filled coughs broke up Jordan’s words.
“Jordan?” Aaron whispered his name as recognition painted a mural of memories of their life together on his face.
“Yes.” He coughed red into his dirty hand. “Please help.”
So begins Angel’s Truth, the sequel to Angel’s Hero. Army Captain Jordan Collins arrives home, only to find the man responsible for his imprisonment, torture, and near-execution with his husband. Had his Angel moved on without him?
Aaron “Angel” Collins has driven his family and friends away in his quest to learn the truth of Jordan’s fate, leaving only Major General Troy Hart willing to help him. When Jordan miraculously returns, with a spirit more broken than his body, Aaron realizes Hart was really a liar with an agenda of his own. Aaron is unable to take time to heal his own emotional wounds, because he and Jordan learn Hart’s betrayal is even greater than they originally believed, threatening the entire nation. Now the reunited couple must race against time to keep a promise to Jordan’s savior and prevent Hart from bringing terrorism once again to American soil.
Aaron “Angel” Collins has driven his family and friends away because he has not accepted the death of his husband. The only person that has stuck by him is Major General Troy Hart. Troy is attracted to Aaron and seems to use everything he can to get Aaron to fall for him.
Aaron is surprised by the re-appearance of Jordan. He is also taken back by how broken inside and out Jordan is especially with the Court Marshall upcoming as to how he arrived home. Aaron figures out who is to blame and set off to protect not just himself but Jordan as well.
Angel’s Truth is the second book in the Angel series by Liz Borino. This book is part of a series and is best read in order to best understand the plot and characters. I found this book well written. The main and secondary characters were interesting and realistic. Overall, I loved this story. I wonder if there will be another story about these characters in the future. I hope so.
This quick read was a satisfying end to an intriguing military thriller.
Although he’s home, Jordan’s nightmares are still haunting him. As the PTSD and physical recovery takes its toll on him and Aaron, their betrayer continues his treacherous ways. They race against time, while looking over their shoulder, to stop a killer before he strikes again.
Once again, this couple displays an amazing amount of love and support for one another. I learned a few things during the erotic scenes that I was completely unaware of, and Aaron’s “sassy” side came out a little more in this installment. The story line wraps up both novels in a tragic, but wonderful manner.
REVIEW BY VICTORIA! STAY BY HILARY WYNNE

Stay is Book 1 of The Alexa Reed Series
Set against the steamy and sultry world of South Beach, Florida, a modern romance unfolds in Stay.
Alexa is beautiful, independent and hard to resist for serially unattached Julian. Neither one is looking for a relationship, but their palpable chemistry and instant emotional connection is too strong to ignore. For the first time in years, Julian is interested in more than just sex. He wants a relationship with intoxicating Alexa, but it’s not that simple.
Not only are Julian and Alexa struggling with the intensity of this new relationship, but they also have to contend with Luke, Alexa’s best friend, whose own love for her leaves him willing to do anything to convince her that Julian is not the man for her. Luke’s determination and Alexa’s secret past threaten to tear Julian and Alexa apart as she struggles to open her heart to love.
Julian and Alexa embark upon a roller-coaster ride of emotional and physical passion that both pulls them apart and holds them together. Despite their affinity for each other, Alexa fears that Julian will leave when he learns about her past and Julian is unsure he can love a woman who in so many ways remains a mystery, a woman who keeps threatening to run, a woman who can’t decide if she is going to STAY.
Alexa is not just a beautiful woman but also independent. She is a strong woman who reminds me of the girl next-door type. She loves shoe shopping when she is upset to the point her closet if full to the brim. She hides from her past not willing to discuss it with anyone other than her therapist but even then does not get the whole story. She continually blames herself for her past.
Julian is the owner of Hotel del Marco. He is fascinated with Alexa and can’t get enough of her. He is a hot and sexy man who is also rich. Alexa is not interested in his money and had a hard time understanding why he is attracted to her. Julian struggles to prove her wrong and make the relationship with Alexa work.
The chemistry between Julian and Alexa is blistering. The sex scenes were hot and steamy. Julian has to battle the rumors Alexa’s best friend Luke spreads that Alexa is totally unaware of. He also has to battle Alexa’s poor self-image as well.
I found this book to be well written. The main and secondary characters were interesting and realistic. I was drawn into this story and I read this book in one sitting. While I am not fond of cliffhanger endings this one was done very well and it did not leave me angry and frustrated. I cannot wait to read the next book when it comes out. Overall, this was a great novel.

Adam Blake is an ex-CIA operative that has done his best to keep his identity secret from almost everyone around him. The biggest is his maternal grandfather who runs a crime syndicate in Eastern Europe. The minute he relaxes his best friend, partner, and mother of his child is killed. Therefore, Adam does what he hoped not to do, go to his father’s family for help. The very family who don’t even know he exists.
Adam has had a hard life making decisions even at a young age that he should not have had too. He meets Calista Martin along the way and takes her on this dangerous journey he takes. The more time they spend together, they both fall for each other. Adam’s daughter also loves Calista at first sight and refuses to release her hold on her. Adam’s daughter, Anna has abilities that are unexplainable and she even at the tender age of 4 manages to help her father in his battle.
While I found this book well written, I felt all the way through the book like I was missing something. Almost like this is part of a series I am unaware of. The main and secondary characters were interesting and realistic. While this book is very slow to start if you stick with it, it will slowly draw you into the story and not let go until the very end of the book. Overall, this was an interesting book.

REVIEWS BY VICTORIA AND BRANDY! TRIFECTA BY KIM CARMICHAEL
Two men. One woman. It could ruin a friendship, or bring a satisfying twist to their lives. Artist, Jason Morgan, is used to making magic on the canvas. Now he hopes to do it in the bedroom.
After a failed gallery showing, Jason decides the best way to cure his creative block is to act on his own personal fantasy, and enter into a sexual relationship with his two best friends.
From the time they were in elementary school, Russell Sinclair has been a willing participant in Jason’s adventures, but this one goes to a new level. He’s intrigued by the idea of sharing one woman, but is challenged by how to fit this three-sided relationship into his traditional life.
Lauren Redmond is no stranger to fantasy. As the aesthetic sales rep to the top Beverly Hills dermatologists, she is responsible for the majority of puffed lips and filled wrinkles in the greater Los Angeles area. She detours from her steady, secure path when she is offered the opportunity to live the dream with the two men who have occupied her heart since college. The fantasy fast becomes a powerful reality, and Lauren must decide if she is willing to give up everything she has worked for to have a bit of temporary decadence.
Trifecta explores the boundaries of love, relationships and convention.
Jason Morgan is an artist that usually making magic on canvas and trying to be discovered and make the big time. What he wants more than anything is his two best friend all in one relationship together. Maybe it’s the artiest in Jason but he sees the world in more than black and white. I don’t think it would have occurred to either of the others to have a ménage relationship.
Russell Sinclair is Jason’s best friend since elementary school. He is a computer Architect. He is always in control and the opposite of Jason. He thinks things through before acting. Russell comes across as the guy every girl dreams about.
Lauren Redmond is an aesthetic sales rep to Beverly Hills dermatologist. She is on her way to landing a Doctor for a husband. However to do that she needs to put Jason and Russell away and that is a lot harder than she seems to think is it. She also wants both of them as well.
The chemistry between Jason, Russell, and Lauren is blistering. The sex scenes were scorching hot. In the bedroom, they have it all figured out. It seems once they leave the bedroom the three of them forget that they are friends and stop communicating. It’s almost like the other person should just know what the issues are.
I found this story to be well written and exciting. The main and secondary characters were interesting and realistic. My only issue with the book was it was a bit long winded and it was hard to see that the three were friends when they did not talk to each other much. I did like seeing the three of them try to make the relationship work and the issues and problems that arise when one has an unconventional relationship in a conventional world. Overall, this was a good book.
This was a fun book that took a topic that is not every day conversation and pushed it out into the real world. The characters are well written and I have to say the sex is amazing between the three of them. When you have been friends as long as they have it is hard to take that next step. Even more so when there are three of them involved. Jason is a very selfish person but the creative nut in me thinks that is just what is personality makes him out to be.
I can see how hard it was for Russell to step out of the very conservative shell he has lived in his whole life. I did find it strange that after all the years they have been together, they still struggled for basic communication with each other. Did Russell and Lauren really need Jason there to tell them if they could be together or not?
At the end of the day this is a good book that I would recommend to anyone that likes a romance that breaks the mold.
RELEASE DAY! STRAWBERRY WINE BY MICHELLE HUGHES
This Valentines Day remember your first love with Strawberry Wine, the new adult romance from bestselling author, Michelle Hughes.
Luke Parks was mine. My first kiss, my first love and my first broken heart. He swept me off my feet with just one look and after a summer of awakening my body to passion left me broken. He was twenty-four and to a girl of sixteen, I’d never been prepared for the devastation of loving and losing so completely. Time, like all things moves on, but my heart never fully recovered from watching him drive off down that country road out of my life.
Fate. Can you really escape your past?
I grew up, finished college and moved to the big city. I thought I’d left all those memories behind, but fate can be a real bitch. I’m a journalist now and my first real assignment throws me face first back in front of Luke. He’s opening a new tattoo parlor in Chicago and they want me to get his story. One look into his blue eyes and I’m remembering drinking strawberry wine and the summer nights we spent sharing everything but my virginity.
It was inevitable that he’d be my first lover.
The last summer night we’d spent together, I was determined to give him the one thing I’d kept from our relationship. At the last moment I’d balked but like I said, fate. There was no doubt in my mind that now that he was back in my life, I’d end up in his bed. My only sanity? My best friend and roommate, Jake. He’s that guy that you can always depend on, the one you have to call your friend because he’s just too sweet to be anything else. Fate was impossible to resist, so I could only hope when Luke destroyed my soul again, Jake would be there to pick up the pieces.
Sometimes your heart has to be broken before you can really understand love.
REVIEW BY BRANDY:
I was a fan of Michelle’s work long before I was her friend. She always manages to grip me in some way and drag me into her stories. I was given a copy of this story to read in exchange for my opinion. This was a sweet story that had me intrigued at the beginning. How many of us have fallen in love with the bad boy only to be burned? Mia had loved Luke for so long that getting over him was proving to be impossible. I am convinced that fate has a sick sense of humor. The minute she tries to get over him, he walks back into her life. Her best friend, Jake has been there with her for a long time and he is not happy with the turn things are taking when Mia falls under Luke’s spell again. I felt the tears streaming when she was broken and all hope was lost. I know for a fact that you have to be broken before you can find the strength to discover what love truly is. Thank you, Michelle for reminding me how much I loved Boone’s Farm, hot summer nights, the sweet agony of first love and what a forever love feels like.

Amazon Barnes & Noble Paperback
About the Author: Michelle Hughes
I grew up in the country and remember drinking Strawberry Wine with my friends on the lake. Writing this book was like reliving my past and needless to say a few tears fell when those memories flooded through my mind. Looking back now, I remember how I thought I’d never get over my first love. I think we all have one of those, that guy that just never leaves your thoughts no matter how many years have passed. Even though you know leaving him behind was the best thing, it still tugs at your heartstrings to remember how naive you were when that first kiss awakened you.
As a mom of five and married, believe me many years have flown by. That being said I can recall with vivid clarity those awkward years when you thought you knew everything and doubted you’d be able to live another day if he didn’t love you back. I’m hoping that when readers thumb through the pages, they remember those feelings. For myself, I wouldn’t go back to those days if I could, but when something stays in your mind for that long it’s hard not to look back with a smile or a tear.

BLOG TOUR STOP! KAIN BY BRIE MCGILL (@TastyBookTours)
Beaten to a pulp, drugged into a daze, and brainwashed into oblivion, human experiment Lukian Valentin gambles his life to evade another eviscerating afternoon with his trigger-happy superiors. Fifty stories of a maximum-security building and hundreds of trained special operatives can’t hold a candle to his will to escape. Beyond the laser bars of his holding cell, Lukian must surmount the even greater challenges of repairing the fragments of his broken mind, forgiving himself for his unwilling involvement with the Empire, and learning what it means to live on his own.
The sassy and commanding Naoko Nai wonders just what to do with the soft-spoken, socially awkward, and totally ripped guy she was assigned to train for employment. She knows nothing else about him, other than the fact he was granted asylum, is great with a knife, and his little white apron gives her distinctly unprofessional thoughts.
When the Empire comes to collect, Naoko unwittingly provides the perfect bait to reel Lukian back to headquarters for a fresh series of brain implants and repair.
To save the woman he loves, Lukian must summon the deadly powers implanted in him by the Empire—powers he fears he can’t control, powers he struggled to forgive himself for using, powers that may drive Naoko away forever—because no ordinary man has struck a blow against the Empire and lived to tell the tale. To save Naoko, Lukian must emerge victorious from the battle against himself.
Lukain Valentin is not happy living and controlled by the Glorious Empire Daitya. The Empire pushes conformity and obedience to the point of everyone acting and doing what they are told without question. Lukain’s biggest issue is what is going on in his mind is increasingly different from what he has been told to behave. He tries very hard but his superior’s target him and beating are a regular thing. Things get so bad for Lukain that he escapes.
Naoko Nai is tasked with helping train Lukain for employment on Jambu. Jambu is a typical paradise. Naoko knows nothing about Lukain other than he is easy on the eyes. The more they get to know each other the more they connect in ways neither expected.
The chemistry between Naoko and Lukain is blistering. The sex scenes were scorching. Lukain connected to Naoko in a way he did not expect and really began to live. She was his soft place to fall and what is better is he did not even expect it.
Kain is the first book in the Sex, Drugs, and Cyberpunk series by Brie McGill. This book is very slow to start but if you hang in there it turns into a great book. I found this book to be well written with the main and secondary characters interesting and realistic. This book is a combination of big brother and the book 1984. It definitely makes you think about technology and how it’s a part of our lives. Overall, this was a great book.
