Excerpt #1
Silent tears streamed down my face and onto my lap. I wiped them with the back of my hand. The finality of Paul’s words crushed my heart. I couldn’t say goodbye to Harison, but I knew I had to. I had to protect him.
I peeked a glance at him, and his stare took my breath away.
“Brooklyn.” He said my name in that way that made my insides ache. I held my head up and stared into his eyes. “I know what you’re doing, and I adore you even more for trying to protect me, but it’s not necessary. He doesn’t have power over us. He can’t hurt me, and he can only hurt you if you continue to allow him to.”
I licked my lips and let Harrison’s words wash over me. They entered my soul.
Paul spoke and gestured next to me.
I couldn’t hear him. All I heard was the sound of my Dom’s voice.
“While I would love to throw you over my shoulder and carry you out of here, I’m not going to do that. I can’t save you, but you can save me by saving yourself.”
Harrison’s words sounded like the lyrics to a song written for me.
I gulped the huge ball sitting at the top of my throat. My mind spoke, reached out to him.
Please drag me out of here. I can’t do it. I can’t be wholly responsible for what Paul might do to you.
“Brooke,” Paul yelled.
I looked around.
We had an audience. The manager walked up and whispered something to Harrison.
I blinked.
He stood up.
Take me with you.
“Brooklyn, you can do this. Go to the apartment, get everything you need, and then come home. I need to you to take this first step because once you do, I will never leave your side again.” Harrison wasn’t asked.
“Harrison,” I whispered and looked at Paul.
“Baby,” Harrison said with a firm tone.
My head snapped back to him.
“He can’t break me. My parents, my friends, they all know me. Nothing he can say will change that. It’s what I built for me. What I built for us. The only one who has the power to break me is you.”
I shook my head slowly side to side.
Paul stood up.
“Get him out of here,” Paul yelled at the manager.
“I’m going.” Harrison held his hands up but stared at me. Like he needed some reassurance his message had gotten through.
I had to say something. I had to let him know I was with him.
“You will never see him again.” Paul leaned in and growled in my face.

Excerpt #2

When I pushed off the bar and turned around, there she stood by the main elevators.
She wore a skintight V-neck t-shirt with a black corset underneath. Her short pleated skirt barely covered her ass. She wore tall back heels. Not quiet schoolgirl but sexy as hell.
She stood stark-still but searched the place, wringing her hands in the process. She was upset, fidgety. I knew the look. She needed something. She needed me.
She walked further into the club, and I came up behind her.
She gasped, feeling my presence. All the little hairs on my arms stood at attention being so close to her. She turned toward me, with her eyes cast down. I lifted her chin and searched her eyes. They were sad and frustrated.
She was like an addict afraid to ask for another hit—out of shame or guilt, I wasn’t sure—but I did know I wanted to be the one to give it to her. Taking all she had told me and the natural bond we shared, I knew I could do this for her and keep her safe.
“Do you trust me?” I asked.
Her body absorbed my words with a shudder.
“Yes,” she whispered.
I ran my hand down her neck, over her shoulder, and down her arm until I clasped her wrist. I headed toward the private rooms and pulled her along with me.
When we reached the door, I opened the door and released my hold on Brooklyn. I wanted her to walk in on her own. Once in the room, I was in control, and she knew it. It needed to be her decision.
I knew what I wanted from her, but what she needed right now wasn’t the same thing. I wanted her to be my sub. Completely. One hundred percent devoted to me and only me. It wasn’t reality, but I didn’t care. I was being selfish. As her Dom, I would be responsible for her needs, her wants, and desires, and as her Dom, I knew that wasn’t what she needed right now.
She walked into the room. Her body visibly relaxed at the sight of the spanking bench in the center. She stood a few feet away waiting on my instructions.
“Take off your shoes.” She stepped out of them, and I kicked them to the side.
“I want you to bend over the bench. I’m going to restrain your arms at the wrist but not your legs. I’m going to spank you until you let go of what’s causing you so much pain.”
Her eyes teared up, and she blinked them away.
“What’s your safe word?” I asked as I stood behind her. I couldn’t look into her eyes.
“Um.” She wavered on her feet. I gripped the back of her neck.
She yelped.
“What’s your safe word, Brooklyn?” My tone firm.
“Pancake.”
I blinked.
“You say pancake, and I stop.” I stepped in front of her. “You understand?”
“Yes.”
“Brooklyn,” I whispered, giving her one opportunity to tell me to stop. I wanted her to tell me this wasn’t what she came her for. She bit her lip and gave me a little smile; her eyes pleaded with me to continue.
“Lie on the bench.” She hesitated for a moment but complied.
She gripped the front of the bench, felt the leather, and slid her hands down the length as she situated her body over it.
Her legs spread. She stood with her feet flat on the floor just outside the legs of the bench. Her hands came to the other edge. I squatted down and took one of her hands and kissed it. Her head turned, and she glared at me, but her face softened when she saw it wasn’t a passionate kiss; it was to reassure her that I had her. I did the same before securing the other wrist. She pulled back on the restraints and then lowered her cheek to the bench.
I walked around her a few times. I stopped behind her. I could spank her over her skirt, but it wouldn’t have the same effect. She needed flesh on flesh. Besides, I wasn’t sure how long it had been since she had been spanked properly, if ever.
I flipped up her skirt in one swift motion.
I couldn’t help it; I took a moment and stared, appreciated the beautiful specimen of a woman bent over and ready for me. My cock strained against my jeans, and I knew this scene was going to push me.
I preached how much satisfaction I garnered from separating the Dom/sub relationship from a purely sexual encounter. Like I was more powerful than all the Dom I knew because they indulged in control of a sexual nature in order to get off themselves. I was more evolved, more in control, more self aware.
I am fucking full of shit.

Excerpt #1
He had never needed a woman more than he needed one right then. He didn’t care what she looked like, how old she was, or if she found him attractive.
His body throbbed with pain and blood lust. He leaned against the cool wall of the dressing room and closed his eyes. He needed a woman before the pain settled into him and rendered him useless.
“Igor?”
He lifted his bloody, bruised limbs from the wall and turned.
Maryruth stood a few feet from him. Her blonde hair was pulled back into a ponytail, the bright lights overhead made her look pale. Or maybe she was pale because all the blood had drained from her face.
“What are you doing here?” he rasped. His gaze left her eyes to drag down her body. She wore a pair of dark jeans, flats, a peacoat. Completely out of place in a sinner’s den.
He wanted to drag his tongue along the column of her throat, taste her skin, mar it with his blood. The primitive picture took hold of him until he was reaching for her. He forced his hands down.
“Get out,” he gritted.
“You’re hurt.”
“Da.”
“Let me help you.” Her eyes widened as she pled.
“You’ll hurt too, if you stay.”
She took a step closer. “You need me.”
He didn’t correct her.
“You need me the way a man needs a woman.” Her eyes dropped to the bulge in his shorts. “So take me.”

Excerpt #2
“I’ve never done anything the way other people do,” he said. “I’ve always been different that way. I spent years fighting, trying to be something I wasn’t. You know what I learned? Who cares? People judge. Fuck them. You get one life. How are you going to live it?”
They faced one another, their breaths mingling, a shaft of moonlight giving them just enough light to see outlines and curves.
Maryruth rolled on top of him and stripped off her shirt. Leaning over, she grazed her lips against his. “Show me how to live, Igor.”

Author Bio:
Emma writes romantic suspense. Usually dark. Usually with cliffhangers. Always with a lot of sex. She makes a wicked vodka gimlet. Autumn is her favorite season. She loves Friends but hates Rachel. She also thinks Chandler is amazing, but Monica should’ve chosen Richard. She loves hearing your thoughts on fictional people.

BLITZ! CHASING KADE BY ANNA PAIGE

NOW LIVE!

Chasing Kade (Thrill of the Chase, #1)

Blurb:
There’s no such thing as too much fun…
Wrong.
Incredibly, immeasurably, categorically false.
Try: It’s all fun and games until someone ends up in the tabloids.
Again.
Kade Edenfield was rock royalty. If every rock god in history gathered for dinner, his seat would be at the head of the table. He was that good. His band was elevated to a level few ever reached, and he was having the time of his life.
Until one misstep too many landed him on the front page of every gossip rag around the globe, and the band’s label decided to saddle them with a PR priss whose sole mission in life was to suck the fun right out of his.
He wanted her gone.
Until he realized he just plain wanted her.
Aubrey Taylor didn’t ask to be assigned to babysit a band full of troublemakers, but she wasn’t given a choice. Wanted or not, she intended to fix the mess they’d made. She’d do it quickly, efficiently, and then she’d get the hell out of there. Unfortunately, after meeting their openly hostile singer—the one with the notoriously menacing stare—it was clear she was in over her head. When Kade made a point to challenge her at every turn, unafraid of using intimidation to get her to back down, she found herself in even deeper trouble.
While she ‘officially’ resented and feared him, their power struggle secretly turned her on.
She desperately wanted to win their little standoff, but what was she supposed to do when she realized she wanted him even more?

Snippet:
I took her small, soft hand into my much larger one and gave it a firm shake. “Call me Kade.” I told her in an almost friendly tone. Her astronomical hotness level didn’t cancel out my feelings about her being there. “With two Mr. Edenfield’s and twins to boot, it’s hard enough to tell us apart. No need to make it harder.”
She nodded and looked down to where I still held her hand in mine, her eyes skimming the tattoos that snaked up my exposed forearm. I let her look her fill, taking the opportunity to do the same. She was a head shorter than me, though most women were; her eyes were definitely gray but I was willing to bet they would look blue under the right circumstances. Her perfume was subtle, crisp with a hint of musk. I had to fight not to lean in and smell her.
Her eyes suddenly flashed to mine, as if she knew I was close to doing just that, and she tugged her hand away, stepping back. “James says I’ll be sharing a bus with you and your brother, is that all right?”
“James?” I chuckled at her formality. “I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone call him that.”
“It’s his name, isn’t it?” She frowned, tossing a glance over at Jimmy like she thought maybe she’d been calling him the wrong name.
“Yeah, everyone just calls him Jimmy, that’s all.”
Her mouth formed a perfect ‘o’ and I had the disturbing urge to reach up and sweep my thumb across her lips.
“Does it bother him to be called James?” She sounded worried. “I just assumed…”I put a hand out and lightly touched her shoulder, trying to calm the panicked look in her eyes. I was only partially motivated by my almost uncontrollable need to have my hands on her. “Relax, polite police. You’re gonna pop a blood vessel. It’s not as serious as all that. We’re just really informal. You’ll get used to it.” I looked her up and down, assessing her outfit. “Trust me, in no time we will have you in ripped jeans and concert tees.” I smiled. Why was I smiling at her? And why couldn’t I seem to stop? She shook her head, frowning. “I don’t think my boss…”I glanced around the parking lot. “Is your boss here?”

“Well, no…” She hedged, looking intrigued.

“Then who cares? Besides, if you’re going to travel with us and be at all of our events, wearing formal looking stuff like that,” I motioned the length of her body, “will make you stick out.”

She did that shoulder squaring thing again, trying to slip back into her uptight niche where she felt safe. “I’m not here to party with the band or fall into the groupie crowd, Kade. I’m here to pull your collective asses out of the fire.”

The way my name rolled off her lips made my dick spring to life.

Not good. At. All.

And the no-nonsense persona she was working so hard to maintain was making her even hotter than she already was.

“Now, back to the issue of my lodging,” she began, “is it agreeable that I stay on the bus with you and your brother?”

I had to bite my cheek to keep from laughing, she was hilariously uptight. I’d work on that, though. “Yes, Aubrey, it’s agreeable. Or would you prefer to be called Miss Taylor?”

“And why would you assume it’s not Mrs.?” She bit back at my snarky tone.

I glanced at her left hand and shrugged. “No ring, and what husband in his right mind would leave his wife all alone with five bed-hopping, bar-brawling, trouble-making rock stars?”

“I’m happy to hear that you’re aware of your shortcomings.”

“Nothing about me is short, sweetheart.” I quipped, giving her a slow wink.

Shit, I was flirting with her. What was the matter with me?

Her eyes flashed and she narrowed them on me as she looked up. “I didn’t work this hard for this long to allow the likes of you to call me sweetheart, Mr. Edenfield. You are to address me only as Aubrey or Ms. Taylor, understand? I am not now, nor will I ever be, your damn sweetheart.”

She spun on her heel and stalked off in the other direction, probably to gather her stuff.

She was self-righteous, uptight, judgmental, and too prissy for her own good.

God help me, everything about her turned me on.

Author Bio:
Anna Paige is the author of the Broken series; Broken Ground, Flawlessly Broken, and All the Broken Pieces, as well as the Thrill of the Chase series. The first TotC novel–Chasing Kade–is releasing in March.
She lives in a rural town in North Carolina where the only activity is the rhythmic color change of the solitary stoplight and a very real threat of being carried away by mosquitoes. The only alternative to terminal boredom is writing, making life interesting if only on the page.
Anna is happily married, with one amazing son and a pair of hilarious pets. When she’s not writing, she’s trying to make a dent in her TBR pile. Given that she’s constantly adding new titles to the list, the chances of her ever finishing are slim.
And she’s completely fine with that.

About Liz Gavin

liz-gavinWhen Liz Gavin was in Second Grade – just a couple of years ago, really – her teacher told her mother the little girl should start a diary because she needed an outlet for her active and vivid imagination. She was a talkative child who would disrupt the class by engaging her colleagues in endless conversations. She loved telling them the stories her grandfather used to tell her.

Apparently, the teacher wasn’t a big fan of those stories, and Liz’s mother bought her a diary. She happily wrote on it for a couple of months. Unable to see the appeal of writing for her own enjoyment only, she gave up on it. She missed the audience her friends provided her in class. She went back to disturbing her dear teacher’s class.

Since then, she has become a hungry reader. She will read anything and everything she can get her hands on – from the classics to erotica. That’s how she has become a writer of erotica and romance, as well.

As a young adult, she participated in a student exchange program and lived in New Orleans for six months. She fell in love with the city and its wonderful inhabitants. NOLA will always hold a special spot in Liz Gavin’s heart. Nowadays, living in Brazil, Liz’s creativity has improved many times because it’s such a vibrant, gorgeous and sexy country.

Welcome to her world of hot Alpha males and naughty, independent women. Add a touch of the paranormal in the presence of some wicked souls and you’ll get the picture.

Sit back, fire up your Kindle and enjoy the ride!

PROMO BLITZ! THE ROSE MARK BY CONNIE SUTTLE (@puretextuality)

Sherra

We belong to the King–those of us with the black roses tattooed on our left wrist, directly over our pulse. As if every beat of our hearts reminds us that we are not our own.

All the women with the fire burning within them are culled, tattooed and taken to the warriors, to provide more energy. Energy that the warriors will then use to defeat the barbarians from the ocean of sand. Women with black roses on their wrists are emptied of their power by those warriors, who care not that they die a shrunken husk.

In the King’s library, The Book of the Rose says to honor the tattooed women. More than anything, I want to spit on its pages.

As for running–there is one thing worse than having a black rose on your wrist. That is for the enemy to find you and see the black rose on your wrist. Your death will be slow and excruciating at their hands…

BLITZ! FIRE BURN BY WENDY KNIGHT

FIRE BURN
by Wendy Knight
New Release 3/9
“I’ve always been able to see the auras. But I knew you couldn’t because you refuse to see the darkness in people and I didn’t want you to ever change. So I didn’t tell you.”

Fate thought the prophecy was over. She graduated high school, made big plans with her family and her boyfriend to travel the world, and got a full-ride scholarship for college in the fall.
Despite blowing up the chemistry lab twice.
But all that changes when the witches show up, because the war they thought they won is just beginning and without Fate and Destiny leading the way, it’s a war they will all lose. Unfortunately, the coven wants them to lead separate teams. Like they somehow don’t realize Fate works better with her sister by her side.
Oh, and Damien.
Damien isn’t going to let the girl he loves face these odds alone. In fact, he’ll risk everything, even her, to help win this battle and keep her alive. Damien makes an impossible choice, one that will change them all.

Sometimes, love isn’t the answer.

Snippet #1
Damien grinned down at Fate, holding her hands, and even after all their time together, his heart still raced in his chest and his blood roared in his ears. Crazy that she could affect him like that. She swayed toward him, rose on her tiptoes, and her lips danced across his. His hands slid up to cup the back of her head, and he deepened their kiss, hoping if he kissed her hard enough or long enough, she would forget about leaving.

Snippet #2
Fate didn’t know if he would kill her or if she could make him her Damien again. But she had to try.
“Of course you do.”
Fate blinked, turning her head slowly to the other side. It took so, so much energy.
Destiny sat next to her, not rocking and keening like Ancient, but awake and sad, legs tucked underneath her. Fate hadn’t realized the pillow she’d been using rested on Destiny’s lap. Her sister had never left her.
“How did you come after us? I thought the bars—”
Destiny raised her chin. “I make my own path.”
Fate almost smiled. If it didn’t take so much energy. “You’re a tough cookie.”
Destiny brushed Fate’s hair off her temple. “Only when you need me. All the other times I was just stuck. Nearly got us killed a few times. Actually, we were in the area. Just couldn’t break the bars to come help.”
“Until I decided to fall off a cliff?”
Destiny nodded.
That was nice of you.”
Snippet#3
To go near him would be suicide. The giant warlock would see her and she couldn’t move fast enough to avoid those attacks.
But her broom could.
She grabbed it, wished it was her real broom and not a loaner, and swung astride.
“I can’t, Fate! I’m not fast enough!” Destiny cried.
Fate nodded. “I know. But I am.” Those words seemed to change everything. Fate felt it, but couldn’t understand it. “Get ready,” she told Destiny. She slid into the air, swinging wide and hoping to get behind him before he saw her. Destiny, ever the crazy one, decided to distract the monster.
Because that was safe.
Alina, of course, joined Destiny.
Fate couldn’t hesitate to scream at them. She refrained from calling Destiny stupid in her head and just flew, as fast and as low as she could. It was dangerous to move that quickly; one false breath and she’d crash into the non-padded rock and die. But she couldn’t exactly take her time. Destiny and her mother could only cast spells at the warlock from out of range for so long while it lumbered closer.
Wendy Knight is the award-winning, bestselling author of the young adult series Fate on Fire and Riders of Paradesos. She was born and raised in Utah by a wonderful family who spoiled her rotten because she was the baby. Now she spends her time driving her husband crazy with her many eccentricities (no water after five, terror when faced with a live phone call, no touching the knives…you get the idea). She also enjoys chasing her three adorable kids, playing tennis, watching football, reading, and hiking. Camping is also big—her family is slowly working toward a goal of seeing all the National Parks in the U.S.
You can usually find her with at least one Pepsi nearby, wearing ridiculously high heels for whatever the occasion. And if everything works out just right, she will also be writing.

“Are you part of the execution team?”

I swallowed, the thought of lying to her heavy in my throat. There was a reason we never divulged who was on the team. The stigma and attacks on our humanity would come from all angles, and in the end, it would change nothing. I am an executioner. It’s a job. Someone has to step up and do it. I was simply one of the few who were willing to swallow the emotional baggage that comes with putting another human being to death. I’m willing because maybe, just maybe, I’ll finally be able to bury the beast in me that snarls and snaps, thrashes and rages, thirsty for vengeance against the unknown monster that took my sister away.

“You know I can’t talk about that, Genevieve. I’m sorry.”

Her gold-green eyes sparked. “I thought so.”

I frowned, not answering.

“Okay. Let’s try this . . . hypothetically speaking, if someone were a part of the execution team at the prison, would they take part in every execution?”

“Theoretically, barring some certain circumstances, yes. Most likely. The warden has assembled a team he trusts and that rarely changes.”

She nodded and forked up a bite of meat. “How do you think those people feel? About killing another human being?” Her gaze was direct and unwavering.

I set my fork down and thought carefully about my reply. “I think they don’t think about it like that.”

“Does it make you sad?”

A beat passed heavily between us. Two. “No.”

She said nothing, returning to her meal, and I followed suit. Eventually, the cloud that filled the room seemed to dissipate as she digested my answers. “Tell me about your brothers. I’m dying to know about them.”

“Why?”

She shrugged one shoulder and sipped her wine. “I just am. Are they like you? Big and sexy and moody?”

“I’m not moody.”

She laughed. “Not denying the big and sexy, huh?”

I fought the grin that wanted to bust loose and forked my salad. “We’re all big and sexy, I won’t lie.”

“I’m sure. What else?”

I thought of my brothers and our time together yesterday. Even as distant and strained as we’d become, I knew we all still loved each other fiercely. “Well, I’m the oldest. Levi is next. He’s a businessman in Austin, divorced, no kids. Jamison is a SWAT sniper in Dallas, goofy and single. Joshua works as a criminal profiler for the FBI in Virginia. He’s brainy and quiet and single, as far as I know anyway. And the baby is Silas. He’s an up and coming MMA fighter and he lives in Houston.”

“So none of you have girlfriends or wives? Really?”

I shrugged. It sounded weird when you put it that way. “Other than Levi, we’ve all managed to avoid it.”

One brow lifted in challenge. “Avoid it?”

“Yeah.” I scooped up the last of my food.

“Are any of you gay?”

I nearly choked. “No.” I grabbed my water and sipped. “Why would you ask that?”

“Well, no women. Maybe there are men.”

“No. Only careers.” And grief, but I didn’t admit that out loud.

Her foot suddenly found my leg under the table. “I’m glad to hear it.”

I ran a hand under her jeans and up her calf. “Interested in my brothers?”

“No.”

“Glad to hear it.” I caressed down her leg and massaged her instep.

Her eyes fluttered closed as I continued rubbing her foot. Suddenly, I was overwhelmed by the need to taste her again. “Are we done here?” My voice was gruff, even to my own ears.

Her eyes slid open and met mine. “I’m not sure.”

“I am.” Keeping our gazes locked, I stood and rounded the table to stand beside her. “Get up.”

Why didn’t you tell me about your sister?” she countered, somehow sassy and serious at the same time.

Heat balled in my chest like a lava rock, burning me from the inside out. Though Claire was never far from my thoughts, she wasn’t something I talked about. Ever.

“Did more research, huh?” My voice was thin and brittle, emotional.

“It wasn’t like that, Asher.” She sounded apologetic. “When I let my senior editor read my story over to see if the new angle was okay, he recognized your name and showed me an old article about your sister’s disappearance. I can’t believe you didn’t mention it.”

“One has nothing to do with the other.”

“Maybe you’re right, but it’s a huge part of who you are.”

I wasn’t your story.”

Silence hung on the line so long, I would’ve thought she’d hung up except for the gentle rhythm of her breathing. Her voice quavered when she finally spoke. “You’re right. I’m sorry. I guess I didn’t do so good at keeping my personal and professional feelings separate.”

“What the hell does that mean?”

“It means I have feelings for you, Asher. Big, sexy feelings with a nice helping of like.”

I smiled. I couldn’t help it. “You like me?”

“Are you laughing at me?”

“Never.”

“Uh huh. Well, yes, I like you.”

“Huh. I’m curious, do you just like me, or do you like, like me?”

“You’re a jerk, you know that?”

“Am not.”

“A big, sexy jerk.”

“Seriously?”

“A big, sexy jerk with a great ass.”

wholefrontIt all began with a choice…

Anna Pierce had, by all accounts, a blessed life. She grew up in a home full of laughter, love, and support. A choice that left her free-falling…

Fast forward five years. Her life still held that same laughter, love, and support, but it was no longer full. A shadow hung overhead, waiting. Always threatening.

Until he caught her…

Jake Taylor stormed into her life and turned her world upside down. He made her feel things she’d hidden away from; made her face life again. But, most importantly, he helped her find the light.

And gave her happily ever after…

About Kelsey Jensen

kelsey-jensen-author-picKelsey is a romance hoarder, a Bob Seger groupie, and a die-hard fan of all things leather, fringe, silver, classy, and full of sparkles.

She was never a writer in the normal sense, but she was always a creator of stories. From Barbie’s to The Sims, Kelsey made sure they lived…interesting lives. Summer of ’15, Marcus Mumford’s voice crooning in her ear, a character started to speak to Kelsey and refused to let go. This character put her on a path of following a dream she never even knew she’d had until it came true.

When she’s not lost in the world of Willowbrook and all its inhabitants, exploring a new planet, or finding new places to lose herself in characters, she can be found deep in the world of other authors, trying out her baking skills on her family and friends, learning–then tweaking–new recipes from the Food Network, immersing herself in good music, enjoying the California sunshine with her two fur babies, relaxing and cackling like a loon with the people close to her, or disappearing as she binge-watches seasons in a day on Netflix.
