Ethan Matthews always felt he was second best. His brother received all the praise, never him. Ethan took a dark, lonely road, turning to alcohol and women to avoid the jealousy that ate away at him. But the demons of his past continued to resurface. He decided to turn his life around with the help of the person he treated the worst–his brother.

Piper Lazara struggled for most of her life. She’d lost almost everyone she loved and lived in poverty. Despite the obstacles, she worked hard and finished nursing school. She never believed in love at first sight, so she tried dismissing her feelings when Ethan entered her life, leaving her heart and head at war over whether she’d take a chance on love.

Ethan knew he shouldn’t get involved with anyone at this turning point of his life, but from the moment he laid eyes on her, he couldn’t stop thinking about the raven-haired beauty. He didn’t know if she felt the same, but it was time he found out.

Their lives were in danger, causing family to step in and offer support. Ethan would do whatever it took to protect the woman who had become his everything. He never thought he deserved happiness, but Piper gave him the redemption he so desperately desired.

Snippet 1:
Cracking my eyes open, I winced from the white, bright light, blinding me temporarily.
“Who are you?” My voice sounded strained and hoarse. Saying those few words intensified the throbbing in my head. It tempted me to not even bother speaking.
“I’m your husband. I’m John.” I heard the frustration in his voice as he insisted through clenched teeth. Immediately, I had the same damned frustration: I couldn’t remember having a husband.
“No.” The anger wouldn’t stop welling inside of me; it bubbled up like a fountain. Why would he say that? Why was he lying? Who the hell was he?
Shouldn’t I know better than them who I was?
That was the problem, though.
I didn’t know who I was.
Where I was.
Or who any of these people were.
Snippet 2:
His gaze was locked on me, and I tore my eyes away to take in everything about this man. His dark blue, long-sleeved shirt stretched over his broad, muscled frame. This man definitely didn’t seem to fit in with the crowd. Even more so when my eyes landed on his worn jeans and work boots. I watched as he slowed his gait but still pressed to get to me.
This had to be Cal, right? It had to be. I was suddenly very aware of how much adrenaline pumped through me from gazing up at him.
If it was Cal, why was I so excited to see him? There I was, practically giddy over seeing this man, and I had no idea what he meant to me or why I was so elated. I was excited to see a stranger when even my own husband hadn’t made me feel this way.
My heart pounded inside my chest, my breath—completely reckless. I swallowed hard, not knowing if I should fight the intense euphoria and instead be fearful of the stranger that was calling my name.
Snippet 3:
“No.” She shook her head. Where there would have been curls bouncing before, now her straight hair hung there and swayed
slightly. I think I was so focused on her hair difference that her next admission didn’t even register at first. “I don’t even remember my own husband.”
“What?” She could have kicked me in my gut and it wouldn’t have hurt as bad. Or my heart, take your pick—it all hurt with that one word. Husband. What the hell?
She nodded as if it made all the sense in the world. “I know. It’s–“
“Did you just say your husband?” I spat. My expression must have shown how pissed off I was. I hadn’t seen that one coming at all. Shit, I hadn’t seen the “amnesia” thing either. I was beginning to wonder if I was talking to the right woman.
Maybe she had a twin or something? I shook my head, knowing all the reality shows Jay’s girlfriend watched must have seeped into my brain.
“Yeesss.” Her answer came out slow and with unmistakable worry behind it. Rightfully so.
“Were you married the whole time we were together?”
It was like we were exchanging horrified expressions. Her face fell, and her mouth gaped as her hand flew to her stomach.
“Oh God. We…you…” Her hand motioned between us. She swallowed. “We?” She looked like she was going to throw up. I felt that way too, but the way she was reacting I would have thought my looks were revolting to her or something.

PROMO BLITZ! THE ROSE MARK BY CONNIE SUTTLE (@puretextuality)

Sherra

We belong to the King–those of us with the black roses tattooed on our left wrist, directly over our pulse. As if every beat of our hearts reminds us that we are not our own.

All the women with the fire burning within them are culled, tattooed and taken to the warriors, to provide more energy. Energy that the warriors will then use to defeat the barbarians from the ocean of sand. Women with black roses on their wrists are emptied of their power by those warriors, who care not that they die a shrunken husk.

In the King’s library, The Book of the Rose says to honor the tattooed women. More than anything, I want to spit on its pages.

As for running–there is one thing worse than having a black rose on your wrist. That is for the enemy to find you and see the black rose on your wrist. Your death will be slow and excruciating at their hands…

Cover Keep1Release date: May 28th, 2017

tag17Life is a collection of defining moments.

The lavish milestones.

The exciting adventures.

The grand celebrations.

The unforgettable choices that altered your path.

When you ask someone to define their life, they give you the fluffy version.

No one ever wants to hear about the grief, pain, or misfortune. Right?

Wrong.

Those cracks are what make life truly beautiful and worth living.

If you asked me about Xander Dixon five years ago, I could tell you anything you needed to know. He was my best friend, a constant presence, loyal and dependable, a highlight on each day, and a monumental landmark of my childhood.

If you asked me about him now, I would tell you he’s a complete mystery. I have no idea how to define Xander because he’s no longer a piece in my life puzzle. Xander removed himself without my permission but I am going to get him back.

Xander is stuck in a bleak moment that no one wants to hear about. But I do. I want to know all about his torment, heartache, and suffering. I don’t want the glossy stuff. I want to know why he is trapped in the dark and cannot escape.

In order to truly save him, I need to redefine us.
That’s exactly what I’m going to do.teaser

tag19A loud bang on the trunk of my car causes a high-pitched scream to rush out of my throat. I also bump my head on the window and nearly have a heart attack. What the heck? I whip around in my seat and see the reason for my panic. Xander, in all his hulking glory, is glowering at me from behind my vehicle. He’s looking at me like I’m responsible for some serious crime by just sitting here.

Am I supposed to get out? What does he expect me to do? He must have noticed me spinning out. I’m clearly not going anywhere, anytime soon. He can’t possibly expect me to walk home.

Even though I’m a bit distracted by my mental musing, I can still make out the yell from outside.

“Get in the house!” Xander growls out, accompanied by another solid pound to my trunk.

He’s literally going to let me into his place? I didn’t expect that at all. Maybe this will give us an opportunity to actually talk. Opening my door takes serious effort but I manage when I throw my whole body into the action. Of course this also causes me to tumble out into the snow. Can I get a freaking break?

I lay there for a moment, basking in my embarrassment, while waiting to see if Xander will offer me a hand. I don’t hear any movement so I tip my head back to make sure. Just as I figured. The butthead is still standing in the exact same spot with the scowl still firmly on his lips.

I make sure to groan extra loud while awkwardly rolling over, followed by ungracefully standing up. I almost want to take a bow because this whole situation is so ridiculous. Once I’m back on two feet, I make a big production of brushing all the white fluff off my clothes. Still no reaction from the big guy. I’m seriously beginning to wonder if there is something wrong with his brain functioning.

“Get in the house. I’ll stay in the shack.” Xander grumbles out and jerks his chin in the direction I’m assuming he plans to go. Considering the condition of the house, I was beyond concerned what shape the other building was in for him to refer to it as a shack. We might not be friends anymore but I still care about the man.

“Can’t we go into your house together?” I question. I’m not ashamed to admit I’m scared to be in his home alone but I’m also worried about him holed up someplace even more rundown. His response is immediate.

“No.” That’s it. Just no. It would be a waste of breath arguing. I’ve quickly figured that out in the short time we’ve… conversed, if you could call it that.

Xander turns and heads toward the forest side of his property. I quickly lose sight of him due to the weather still wreaking havoc on visibility. Just in case he is still within hearing range, I decide to give him some gratitude. “Great! Thank you so very much, Xander. You have been really helpful!” I scream out into the wind. What a jerk.

BLITZ! FIRE BURN BY WENDY KNIGHT

FIRE BURN
by Wendy Knight
New Release 3/9
“I’ve always been able to see the auras. But I knew you couldn’t because you refuse to see the darkness in people and I didn’t want you to ever change. So I didn’t tell you.”

Fate thought the prophecy was over. She graduated high school, made big plans with her family and her boyfriend to travel the world, and got a full-ride scholarship for college in the fall.
Despite blowing up the chemistry lab twice.
But all that changes when the witches show up, because the war they thought they won is just beginning and without Fate and Destiny leading the way, it’s a war they will all lose. Unfortunately, the coven wants them to lead separate teams. Like they somehow don’t realize Fate works better with her sister by her side.
Oh, and Damien.
Damien isn’t going to let the girl he loves face these odds alone. In fact, he’ll risk everything, even her, to help win this battle and keep her alive. Damien makes an impossible choice, one that will change them all.

Sometimes, love isn’t the answer.

Snippet #1
Damien grinned down at Fate, holding her hands, and even after all their time together, his heart still raced in his chest and his blood roared in his ears. Crazy that she could affect him like that. She swayed toward him, rose on her tiptoes, and her lips danced across his. His hands slid up to cup the back of her head, and he deepened their kiss, hoping if he kissed her hard enough or long enough, she would forget about leaving.

Snippet #2
Fate didn’t know if he would kill her or if she could make him her Damien again. But she had to try.
“Of course you do.”
Fate blinked, turning her head slowly to the other side. It took so, so much energy.
Destiny sat next to her, not rocking and keening like Ancient, but awake and sad, legs tucked underneath her. Fate hadn’t realized the pillow she’d been using rested on Destiny’s lap. Her sister had never left her.
“How did you come after us? I thought the bars—”
Destiny raised her chin. “I make my own path.”
Fate almost smiled. If it didn’t take so much energy. “You’re a tough cookie.”
Destiny brushed Fate’s hair off her temple. “Only when you need me. All the other times I was just stuck. Nearly got us killed a few times. Actually, we were in the area. Just couldn’t break the bars to come help.”
“Until I decided to fall off a cliff?”
Destiny nodded.
That was nice of you.”
Snippet#3
To go near him would be suicide. The giant warlock would see her and she couldn’t move fast enough to avoid those attacks.
But her broom could.
She grabbed it, wished it was her real broom and not a loaner, and swung astride.
“I can’t, Fate! I’m not fast enough!” Destiny cried.
Fate nodded. “I know. But I am.” Those words seemed to change everything. Fate felt it, but couldn’t understand it. “Get ready,” she told Destiny. She slid into the air, swinging wide and hoping to get behind him before he saw her. Destiny, ever the crazy one, decided to distract the monster.
Because that was safe.
Alina, of course, joined Destiny.
Fate couldn’t hesitate to scream at them. She refrained from calling Destiny stupid in her head and just flew, as fast and as low as she could. It was dangerous to move that quickly; one false breath and she’d crash into the non-padded rock and die. But she couldn’t exactly take her time. Destiny and her mother could only cast spells at the warlock from out of range for so long while it lumbered closer.
Wendy Knight is the award-winning, bestselling author of the young adult series Fate on Fire and Riders of Paradesos. She was born and raised in Utah by a wonderful family who spoiled her rotten because she was the baby. Now she spends her time driving her husband crazy with her many eccentricities (no water after five, terror when faced with a live phone call, no touching the knives…you get the idea). She also enjoys chasing her three adorable kids, playing tennis, watching football, reading, and hiking. Camping is also big—her family is slowly working toward a goal of seeing all the National Parks in the U.S.
You can usually find her with at least one Pepsi nearby, wearing ridiculously high heels for whatever the occasion. And if everything works out just right, she will also be writing.

When Two Hearts Collide

Snippet 1:

I wasn’t one to much stock into fate. Nor was I one for reading into signs. All of it was pure and complete hooey to me. There was no impactful moment when a person looked into someone’s eyes and, BAM, that was it. That they were the one because something in the way they connected told a person they’d found it. Love. Or whatever it was that made two people decided to align themselves together, infuriating habits and all, for the rest of their lives.
-Charlie

Snippet 2:

Charlie was otherworldly.
Kind. Funny. Smart. Witty.
He was exactly what I’d been looking for. Yet, entirely complicated.
That was my luck though.
Of course I’d find myself a man I thought I could really see a future with, knowing that future wasn’t as easily attainable as the chemistry between us was. Even with the amazing sex and small moments of true connection, I still didn’t think I could pick up and leave. Not my shop. The Raven’s Den was everything to me.
“If I fall asleep, luv, my apologies,” he said as he moved closer to me, wrapping an arm around my waist. “I don’t think I can keep my eyes open much longer. Ye’ve worn me out.”
I snuggled against him, trying not to think about the future. Tried to enjoy the small moment of perfection. A marked day that was as rare as finding a living unicorn. Because those moments were quickly approaching their end, and I had a heart to prepare for when it came time for one of us to make a choice.
-Charlotte

BLITZ! STEALING THE SHOW BY LILLIANA ROSE

Stealing The Show by Lilliana Rose

Kristie comes to the Royal Adelaide Show every year with the sheep. This year will she return with more than just prizes? Or will she steal the heart of a man as well, and snag the love of her life?
Kristie Johnson plans to run the family farm one day. As the only child, she lives with her parents and struggles to get them to see that she can make her own decisions and that she is a grown woman. Then, she meets Tully Row, a dancer performing at the show and she turns to him for a few days of fun. Instead she finds herself falling for him, especially when she finds out he’s a country boy himself.
The youngest of three sons, Tully was forced away from the farm he loved to the city to make his own living. He started dancing and was given a gig at the Royal Show. His family are at the show with the milking cattle and they spend more time arguing. He feels unsupported by them, and can’t get them see his performances. Kristie is a distraction, an enjoyable distraction at first, but then she steals his heart. Their shared lust turns into something deeper and more special between them.
Can both of them stand up to their families and follow their hearts to begin a relationship and their lives together?

〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜

Snippet1:

“I’m in a rush. Meet me here after the show and I’ll get you another coffee.” His blue eyes soft and intense seemed to speak at a soul level to her.
Kristie paused. About half the coffee was on the ground or down the front of her blue striped shirt, and some on her blue jeans. But there was enough in the paper cup. “It’ll be all right. It was an accident.”
“No, promise me you’ll be here.” He put his hand on her arm.
Mother of god. The heat from his palm burned through the material of her shirt, causing her knees to weaken.
“Please.”Bloody hell. “I’ll be here.”
“Good.” He smiled, then hurried away.
Kristie stood there, staring at him, his tight arse in

particular until he disappeared in the crowd. She sighed. Took a sip of her coffee. Can I really meet him here after the show?

〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜

Snippet2:

“It’s about to start. Get your phone out.” Ellie patted her excitedly on the arm, dark brown eyes glowing with excitement.
Kristie rolled her eyes. She couldn’t get her phone out because she was clutching her coffee like it was something to settle herself from what she’d just experienced with that guy. It was nothing. The way her body still reacted, she knew it was something more, which was the main reason she didn’t tell Ellie. Her friend would have a field day over Kristie’s reaction, then would want to meet him, and suddenly this would be bigger than she could handle.
“Mother nature, earth, fire, water, air…” The voice over the music blurred as she tried to get the image of the guy from her mind. Especially those gorgeous blue eyes. A few dancers came on stage.
Kristie watched intently to help distract herself. “Bloody hell.” Her mouth fell open.
“This isn’t what I was talking about. It gets better.”
Kristie was glad she hadn’t said anything about the guy. Right now, she was staring straight into those same gentle blue eyes.

〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜

Snippet3:

She stopped walking. All the time they’d
been talking she’d tried to think of how to suggest they meet up tomorrow. The talk of rides and her fear of heights pushed those thoughts well away along with any sexual desires that brewed while they were together. “I should go.”
“Really?”
She saw the disappointment in his eyes. “Yes.” She only partly lied. He stood very close to her. Close enough to kiss her. The thought filled her mind. What would his lips feel like? What would he taste like?
He tilted his head toward hers. Kristie’s mouth dried. Is he going to kiss me?
