Sebastian’s a man of wealth, title, and honor. Riches, favor, and women cannot ease the guilt he feels for taking a young man’s life, but another source may help solve his problem. Although he’s caught off guard by a shameless request, the arrangement suits his fancy, and will help assure the continuation of his bloodline.
I was enraptured as passion exuded from each page involving a love scene played out, and fascinated by the suspenseful story line. The characters and setting were depicted perfectly for the time period, as well as the circumstances involved. I cringed as the hero and heroine made their mistakes, and shivered with delight as they made up! I didn’t always agree with their actions, as they were both a little hypocritical at times, but I loved them anyway. The villains were clever and implemented brilliantly. There were a few times that I became inpatient, but refused to ignore the beauty of the chase. I was greatly rewarded for staying the course.
As the ending leaves a little taste of what’s to come, I can’t wait to read the next installment! Excellent read & I highly recommend!
