PRESS RELEASE! INKITT LAUNCHES IOS APP!

DATA DRIVEN PUBLISHER INKITT LAUNCHES IOS APP
Inkitt empowers readers and publishers to discover world’s next best sellers

BERLIN, NOVEMBER 16, 2016:

Inkitt, the world’s first algorithm-based book publisher, is introducing an iOS app for iPhone and iPad available to readers globally today.

In less than 2 years from launch, Inkitt has attracted over 700,000 unique readers: the iOS app will give book lovers and publishers greater access to Inkitt’s digital library of over 80,000 stories by up-and-coming authors.

“As more people read digitally we want to make it easier and faster for people to access great literature wherever they are, whether on the go or relaxing at home,” says Inkitt’s Founder and CEO, Ali Albazaz. “Inkitt’s iOS app will better enable emerging authors to share their work with test readership groups and give readers globally the opportunity to turn the page on one of the world’s next best sellers.”

Key features include:
● Access to 80,000 stories in every genre: fantasy, sci-fi, romance, thriller, horror, adventure, action and more
● Personalized suggestions: hand-picked novels based on reader’s preferences
● App customization according to user preferences (e.g. font size, colors)
● Online/Offline: readers can save novels to their offline library to access them without an internet connection

Beyond being a platform connecting authors and readers, Inkitt has developed an in-house algorithm that analyzes reading behavior to determine if a novel has the potential to become a bestseller. Using this unique data-driven approach, Inkitt aims to help emerging writers achieve their dreams of getting published by becoming a point of reference for publishers looking to uncover the world’s next best sellers.

Back in April, Inkitt announced the signing of the platform’s first algorithm-chosen novel, Bright Star, a Young Adult fantasy novel written by Texan author Erin Swan and signed for publication with Tor Books. Since July, Inkitt has published another 3 novels: Catalyst Moon: Incursion by Lauren L. Garcia (Fantasy), Just Juliet by Charlotte Reagan (YA Romance) and I Was A Bitch by Emily Ruben (YA Romance Mystery). Both Just Juliet and I Was A Bitch became bestellers in their respective categories upon launch.

Inkitt’s iOS app was released in beta in Australia and Canada earlier this year and is now available for download globally here .

About Inkitt
On the surface, Inkitt is a platform where budding writers can share their novels and inquisitive readers can unearth fresh content. But under the hood, we are democratizing publishing: Inkitt is built on an algorithm which analyzes reading patterns to predict future bestsellers. Using this unique data- and readers-driven approach to uncover highly addictive stories, Inkitt’s goal is to remove the middle person so that a blockbuster book is never rejected by a publishing house again. In other words, if readers love it, Inkitt publishes it.

A night out in a fancy club with one of the hottest guys in LA? Never in my wildest dreams could I ever have imagined that could happen to me. This wasn’t a dream though. I wouldn’t even have anything to wear if I told him yes. Who was I kidding? I didn’t belong with him. No matter how cute he looked smiling at me right now. I was so far out of his league.

“No.”

“No?” As he continued to gaze at me, I found myself becoming more taken with his crystal blue eyes. “Did you just shoot me down?”

“Umm… yes, I did.” I nodded, trying to hold firm. “It’s nothing personal but I’m really busy tonight.”

“Working?”

“And other things.”

“What kind of things?”

“You look as if no one has ever said no to you before.”

Who in their right mind would turn down a date with him? Me, of course. Why? Because I couldn’t get out of my own stupid way. My world was tumbling down around me. It had been for years. I thought moving to a new place, starting a fresh life would be a good thing. It should have been a good thing, but that luck I’d hoped to find hadn’t found me yet.

“I’ve heard the word no before.” He leaned into my face. “You know what it does to me?”

“What?” A shudder coursed through me when I thought about him kissing me. This was absurd. He was just a guy. A rich, handsome, super fit, hot guy who was paying attention to me.

“It only makes me more determined to get what I want.” He playfully tugged on my hair, and instead of feeling invaded I liked his silly attitude. “Do you know what I mean?”

“What do you want?”

“Are you teasing me?”

Displaying Caden5.jpg

Snippet #2

“Remember when I said I was determined?” He moved toward me. “When I really want something?”

I nodded, feeling like cornered prey in the path of a wolf. The strange thing was I didn’t want to run. I wanted the wolf to take what he wanted.

“At first I thought your oblivious attitude was a game. Maybe you were teasing me.” He slowly took another step, trailing his gaze down my body. “But I don’t think that’s it at all. Is it?”

My knees buckled as I leaned against the door for support. Why was he doing this to me?

“You don’t have any idea what I want,” he continued. “What I need.”

My heart raced at a rapid pace. Forceful enough for the sound to echo between my ears. My quick breathing caused a lightheaded sensation to take over. I’d had men pursue me, but never one I really wanted. Not until Caden.

He took the final step toward me, pinning me against his broad chest and the wood of the door. Taking my face between his hands, he lowered his gaze to my mouth as he threaded his bottom lip between his teeth.

He’s going to kiss me. A warmth spread through me when I realized I’d never wanted a man to kiss me as much as I wanted him to.

“I can’t get you out of my head.” He moved his face close to mine. “The things we could do.”

“You look at me like you want to devour me.” I swallowed hard, looking anywhere but in his steel blue eyes. If I looked into them he’d know I didn’t want to run.

“That sounds pretty accurate.”

BLOG TOUR! HARMONY AND HIGH HEELS BY TRACY WOLFF AND KATIE GRAYKOWSKI

blog

From New York Times Bestselling author Tracy Wolff and International Bestselling author Katie Graykowski comes a sizzling tale of heartbreak, Harley-Davidsons and high heels …

Harmony Wright is a bad girl living a good girl’s life. From the time she was born, she’s always been the good twin. The ladylike twin. The twin her high society (or at least as high society as you can get in San Angelo, TX) mom likes to parade in front of all her garden club friends. She’s gone along with it, too—wearing pearls and Chanel when ripped jeans and motorcycle boots are more her speed. But when Harmony takes off for an extended visit with her twin sister, Lyric, she leaves her good girl persona in the dust …

Dalton Mane knows what it is to be bad and he’s more than ready for the peace that comes with living the good life. Once the crown prince of a powerful biker gang, Bastards of Hell, he walked away from it all when tragedy struck. Now the general manager of the Fort Worth Wranglers, he spends his time wheeling and dealing in the sports world and all while keeping an entire team of football players in line.
When Harmony crashes into Dalton, his tidy little life is over. Will he give up everything to keep Harmony out of trouble?

“I did knock, but you couldn’t hear it.” Dalton pointed to her smartphone. “Always listen to your music so loud? At that decibel level, you’re looking at another two years before the hearing loss kicks in.”

“Thanks, Dr. Oz, I’ll keep that in mind.” Harmony pulled the first batch of cookies out of the oven.

“Are those oatmeal raisin cookies?” He sounded hopeful, but she wasn’t in the mood for company. Especially not company she was tempted to spread whipped cream all over before slowly licking it off.

“No.” Technically, they were oatmeal raisinless cookies.

“They smell like oatmeal raisin cookies.” He popped one in his mouth. “Taste like oatmeal raisinless cookies.”

And damn it, it didn’t help her little problem that he had the same damn sense of humor that she did. The bastard. Not that she had any intention of showing him how much he turned her on. She might be reckless, but she didn’t do suicide missions, and the tiny voice at the back of her mind, which she usually ignored, told her that tangling with Dalton was going to fuck her up way more than she already was.

She was determined not to ignore it today, especially after last night’s close call.

“So, not only do you break and enter, but now you’re stealing food?” Too bad she’d left her guns by the pool. She could nip this thing—whatever it was—in the bud. “You Fort Worthers are weird. In San Angelo we have better manners.”

His eyes roamed down her body. “Do y’all bake in bikinis? I’ve never been to San Angelo, but I just might move there so I can watch the bikini baking team.”

“Pervert.” As she turned back to the frying donut, she mashed her lips together to hide her smile. Apparently he liked the way she looked in her bikini—maybe as much as she liked him in that suit.

A quick test told her the donut was ready. Using a metal spider, she fished it out and covered it with a lemon glaze.

“Is that what I think it is?” Dalton’s dark-green eyes turned huge.

“Depends on what you think it is.” She arranged the donut on a plate so that the middle finger was the focal point, then aimed it straight at him. “If you think it’s a donut flipping you off, you’d be correct.”

“Can I have it?” He stepped into her personal space. He was so close she could smell him—sandalwood and something underneath it that was all male.

“No, this one’s mine.” She didn’t back away or back down. Instead, she sucked in the middle finger and bit it off at the root. The smoldering look he gave her conjured images of her mouth swallowing something else entirely. So much for the voice in the back of her head.

Of course, she nearly choked on the mouthful of dough, but the look on his face made it almost worth it.

“Fine.” He shrugged out of his suit jacket, folded it, and hung it on a kitchen chair back. “I’ll make my own.”

Clearly, he wasn’t one to throw his clothes down. It appeared that he liked order. Which made her wonder, if she ripped his clothes off, would he put the groping on hold long enough to pick them all up and fold them?

Not that she was going to find out, but it was a question to ponder. Especially as he rolled his sleeves up and picked up a dough hand. “You want to give me a hand with this?”

His attempt at a joke was lame at best.

She figured the only way to counter was to go lame right back. She handed him another hand. “There you go.”

“Very funny.” He held the dough hand gingerly by the thumb. “Do I just toss it in or what?”

“You need a little more finesse than that.” She couldn’t help herself. She took the dough and with a practiced hand molded it until the fingers met the thumb in the age-old gesture for jerking someone off. Then she dropped it in the oil. “Wait until it turns golden brown and then take it out.”

She flipped her sunglasses down from the top of her head onto her eyes. “Now if you’ll excuse me. The latest Cosmo is waiting for me by the pool.”

“Wait, shouldn’t you stay here and make sure I don’t burn down the house?” He grabbed the spider and tucked his tie over his shoulder.

“Nope, not my house.” She turned and headed back out to the pool.

He whistled his approval of her backside. “Nice.”

Normally, that would piss her off, but it was a free country. He could appreciate her ass just as much as she could appreciate his. There was equality in mutual ogling.

“Not too bad yourself.” She didn’t look back.

It was time to enjoy her one and only vacation this year. When Dalton left, she’d go back in and finish up the donuts. All that caged sex appeal was too much to handle in the confines of her sister’s kitchen.

After setting her plate on the table between two of the six chaises, she folded her chaise flat, laid down on her belly, and propped herself up on her elbows. Then she grabbed her plate and her Cosmo.

“This is really good.” Dalton sat on the chair next to her. “Is that lemon zest in the frosting?”

“It’s a glaze and yes there’s lemon zest.” She flipped through ad after ad.

“You should go on that donut competition baking show,” he said between bites.

“No way. They give the bakers weird ingredients. No one but a paid judge wants to eat a donut made out of ketchup and lemon pepper.” She could go for a chocolate glaze right now. When Dalton finally left, she’d whip up some and dip the donuts in it.

“Mind if I have another one?”

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw him lick his fingers.

“Don’t you have a job?” She continued to flip pages. “It’s the preseason. Don’t you need to go micromanage something?”

“Yes, but I’m hungry.” He winked at her. “And I’m the boss, so I can do what I want … within reason.”

“It seems to me that reason figures a lot into your personal life.” She continued flipping.

“What’s that supposed to mean?” He reached over and used the towel she was lying on to dry his hands.

“I don’t think this is going to come as a shock to you, but you’re dull.” She flipped the page to find “Kuma Sutra—The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.”

“I’m not dull.” His tone suggested that he didn’t believe it either.

“If you say so.” She scanned the article and was a little disappointed—but not surprised—that there was nothing new.

“I happen to live a very full and fulfilling life.” Now he sounded like he was trying to justify his life choices to her. Or, more likely, to himself.

“Of course you do.” She flipped more pages.

He stood. “I’m going to make myself another donut.”

“Good luck with that.” She didn’t bother to look up.

He stood there waiting for something—probably for her to get up and help him. “Don’t you want to make sure I don’t burn myself?”

“Nope, I’m good.” She handed him her empty plate. “Can you put that in the sink for me?”

He glanced down at the plate, and she could tell he was trying to decide how to play this. It was almost cute, the way he thought he had a shot of one-upping her. But she’d been trained by Livinia Angleton Wright on how to put—and keep—men in their place. He was going to have to work a lot harder than this to shake her up.

Eventually, he took the plate, but he didn’t head back inside. “Do your tatts have meaning or are they just random things you picked out?” He moved closer, until he was standing over her blocking her sun.

Geez. This guy was harder to get rid of than chlamydia.

review

These authors were new to me and I rather enjoyed their writing. This story is the second and follows the antics of Harmony and Dalton.  I haven’t read Lyric’s book which comes before Harmony’s and I do feel like it would have been a great read as well.

I love romantic comedies and I am not disappointed.  Harmony is a good girl that wants to be bad.  What could possibly go wrong?  I laughed and snorted till I couldn’t see straight.  You have to check out Harmony and Dalton and let me know what you think!

IF HE LOSES, SHE DIES
Her voice haunts his thoughts; her whispers fill his days
But when he discovers the woman of his dreams is real
He’ll race the clock to save her before she’s lost to him forever

Scarred by lightning, burdened with a power that gives him no peace, criminal investigator Xander Stone strugglxandergodes to maintain his sanity against the voice that haunts him day and night—the voice of a woman begging him to save her.

Isleen Walker has long since given up hope of escape from the nightmare of captivity and torture that is draining her life, her mind, and her soul. Except…there is the man in her feverish dreams, a strangely beautiful man who beckons her to freedom. And when he comes, if he comes, it will take all their combined fury and faith to overcome a madman bent on fulfilling a deadly prophecy

Here are a few teasers from Abbie…

*He might’ve only met her four days ago, but she’d been inside his head for years and somehow that made her intimately familiar. Not to mention that she’d waited all that time for him to find her and save her. The least he could do was offer the rest of his life as penance. If she needed time, he would give every second to her.rtdgraphiclightning

*He lost what he was going to say in the sensation of holding her. She was so petite, barely tall enough to reach his pecs, and yet she fit every angle and curve of him as if they were two pieces finally fit back together to make one.

*He scooped her up in his arms, cradling her to his chest, his mind flashing back to the day he found her—and to holding her this same way. God, she had weighed so little, had seemed so fragile, but she was strong. Stronger than he’d ever be. Knowing what she’s gone through, what she’d survived—yeah. Strong was too weak a word to describe her.

About Abbie…

Seven Things about Abbie Roads:

1. She loves Snicker Parfaits. Gotta start with what’s most important, right?

2. She writes dark emotional books featuring damaged characters, but always gives her hero and heroine a happy ending… after torturing them for three hundred pages.

  1. By day she’s a mental health counselor known for her blunt, honest style of therapy. At night she burns up the keyboard. Well… Burn might be too strong a word. She at least sits with her hands poised over the keyboard, waiting for inspiration to strike. And when it does—the keyboard might get a little warm.
  2. She can’t stand it when people drive slowly in the passing lane. Just saying. That’s major annoying. Right?
  3. She loves taking pictures of things she thinks are pretty.
  4. She’s represented by Michelle Grajkowski of 3 Seas Literary.
  5. Her debut novel, RACE THE DARKNESS, was a Publishers Weekly Top 10 Pick for Fall.

Adele didn’t wait for further instruction and hurled the plastic nose cover into the air. Spinning, the snout missed Monique’s outstretched hand and continued its path of projection several feet over her head and to the right.

Rudolf’s schnozzle caught the light and sparkling in the sun, made its descent. Monique shifted her weight to grab it. Almost there. She reached up and over feeling the ladder sway and rock beneath her.

“Mommy!”

Quickly seizing her perch with both hands, the sole of her boot slipped sideways on the metal step. Instead of regaining her balance, Monique skidded down one rung, and then another with her left foot and then another and another, until she found herself rappelling backward down the ladder, desperately grappling to hang on to whatever she could and praying for a soft landing.

“Mommy!”

She missed the last step and hit the ground, landing flat on her back.

“Oh no!” Adele scampered to her and laid her soft chubby hands on Monique’s cheeks. Snuggling close, her sweet breath touched her skin. Adele inspected her eyes from an inch away. “Are you hurt bad?”

“I’m okay, baby.” Reaching behind her back, Monique found the rock digging into her spine. She plucked it out of the dirt and flung it.

“You shouldn’t be climbing on top of something you can’t handle.”

Every cell of Monique’s body froze. Her heart paused mid-thump. The familiar drawl of the deep, sexy, voice coming from above propelled her back in time at warp speed to six years ago. But it couldn’t be him. Not in a million years. She wrapped one arm tightly around Adele, and shielding her eyes from the glare with the other, looked up. Shit.

Trace Montgomery towered over her. He folded his arms over his chest making his smooth, muscled biceps bulge under his navy T-shirt. Wearing jeans that fit him as precisely as a fireman carries a hose, and with his swagger apparently still intact, he leaned back on the heel of his boot and tilted his face, rubbing his jaw. His unmistakable green eyes sparkled down at her.

“W-what are you doing here?”

“You’re hardly in a position to be asking questions.” He reached with a powerful hand and lifted her up off the ground, along with Adele.

After removing a twig wedged between her legs and butt cheek, Monique attempted to get her bearings. Her brain stuttered, stopped and skipped over the right words to say. Her libido, however, operated flawlessly. Tingles charged from her neck to her toes and she broke into a sweat. Steadying her gaze on his preposterously handsome face, a result of mixed genetic magic, her heart beat out of her skin. Trace opened his arms for a hug. Before she could think, he wrapped them around her and squeezed, smelling like—well, smelling like Trace, a combination of clean, fresh and help me now, Jesus.

“Fun and flirty, sassy and steamy, with a deep
emotional pull that will keep you turning the pages.”—Kelly Jamieson, author
of Top Shelf

“An unsung hero with a story that touched my heart. Emotional and
gripping. A top favorite of 2016 for me.”New York Times bestselling author Melanie Moreland

Daisy took another sip of her wine, watching as wedding guests took their places on the dance floor, warding off her boredom by trying to guess how long each couple had been together based on body language.

She was a little amused to see that Emma and all of her Stiletto friends still seemed to be in the handsy honeymoon stage with their significant others, even though she knew they’d mostly been with their respective spouses for years.

Daisy felt a little twist of her heart. Once upon a time, she’d thought that’d be her and Gary. As much in love on someone else’s wedding day as they had been on their own. At least she’d been in love on that day. She wasn’t sure someone like Gary knew what love was.

Still, she was glad to be here. Glad to be surrounded by all of this happiness, even if it was bittersweet. Daisy wished her father could be here to see this. He’d died of a heart attack a year ago, and though their dad had wreaked plenty of havoc on Emma and Cassidy’s relationship all those years ago, Daisy wished he could have walked Emma down the aisle and had a chance at the father-daughter dance.

The way it had worked out was rather lovely, though. Cole Sharpe, yet another Oxford writer, had walked Emma down the aisle, and a whole slew of the Oxford guys had twirled a laughing Emma around the dance floor in place of the father-daughter dance.

It struck Daisy that this was Emma’s family. Sure, the twins were close, but they were orphans now, and they’d never been particularly close to the rest of their extended family. So Emma had built a family here in New York, with a network of tight-knit friendships.

And though Daisy was happy for Emma she was also . . . jealous.

“I hate to break it to you, pet, but you’re pulling off the wallflower routine a little too convincingly over here.”

Daisy turned, somehow unsurprised to see Lincoln Mathis standing beside her, blue eyes twinkling above the pink bow tie that he pulled off with impressive masculinity.

“You cheated,” she said, by way of greeting.

He smiled, slow and flirty, as he rested one shoulder against the wall she was leaning on, looking down at her. “How’s that?”

“You made them laugh and cry in your speech. I thought we agreed that you were just going to be the funny guy.”

He smiled wider. “What can I say, I’m alluring in a multitude of ways.”

“Speaking of,” she said, nodding her chin slightly to the sultry brunette making her way towards them, “I believe your previous dance partner is wanting an encore.”

He let out the subtlest of groans, so quiet she thought she might have imagined it.

“Dance with me,” he said suddenly to Daisy, straightening and looking down at her.

She jolted in surprise, then in panic. “I can’t.”

He smiled and held out a hand. “Come on now, Wallflower. I’m very good at dancing.”

Wallflower. Daisy had never been a wallflower in her life. Although he had a point. She did seem to be lurking in the corner a bit. She silently scolded herself. This was everything she’d been coaching herself not to do. Not to let Gary win . . .

“I don’t doubt your dancing prowess,” she replied saucily, “but—”

She broke off. What could she possibly say? I don’t like being touched?

It’s not that she couldn’t be touched. She wasn’t that broken. She didn’t freak out. She’d endured Cassidy’s hug when she’d greeted him last night; she’d danced earlier with her uncle. But those men were family.

Lincoln Mathis was . . . not family.

Dance with him, she commanded herself. Don’t be that broken woman Gary tried to make you.

She didn’t move, and slowly Lincoln’s hand dropped to his side, just as the brunette reached them.
“I love this song,” the woman said, running a possessive hand up Lincoln’s arm. “Dance?”

Lincoln held Daisy’s gaze and she shrugged before blowing him a teasing good-bye kiss. “Bye bye.”

His eyes narrowed. “Actually,” Lincoln said, turning and giving the other woman a regretful smile, “I need to step out for a moment.”

The woman’s perfectly shaped brows folded into a frown. “Step out? For what?”

“I need to show Daisy something,” he said, bending and kissing the other woman’s cheek. “Next time, love.”

Before Daisy could register that she’d been commandeered as part of Lincoln Mathis’s escape, he’d plucked the champagne flute out of her hand, setting it aside before clasping her fingers in his and pulling her toward the door.

“Wait, we’re really leaving?” she asked with a laugh as he tugged her through the throng of wedding guests.

“Yep.”

“I can’t,” she said. “It’s my sister’s wedding, I have family here, and . . .”

“But you want to leave,” he said, turning and facing her.

She narrowed her gaze. “Why would I want that?”

He met her eyes. “Because you don’t like weddings any more than I do.”
